Maurice Pollack, president of the Canadian Friends of Bar-Han University, is in Israel where he has completed arrangements for the construction of the faculty housing colony of the University in Ramat-Gan; Israel. This project, sponsored by the Canadian Friends, will be known as MSh*-chunat Mordechai", to be dedicated to Mr. Pollack who, together with the late president of Bar-Ilan University, Dr. Pinkhos Chur-gin, conceived the idea of project Bar-Han University, which is the first Israeli university patterned after Canadian and American colleges, is completing its fourth academic year in which 56 students will receive their degrees of Bach-elor of Arts and Bachelor of Science. Of the 380 students attending the University, there are at present 35 American and Canadian students.

April as guest of the Labor Zionist Movement Mr. Samuel served on the staff of the .Hebrew University of Jerusalem since 1953 as lecturer in the Eliezer Kaplan School of-- Economics -and Social Sciences. He is an expert in public administration, has held various public service posts in Israel, and is frequently invited as guest lecturer to universities in the United States and other parts of the world. He has written and lectured extensively on political subjects and has contributed to various journals throughout the. Western World. Mr. Samuel is a veteran of World War I, as an officer with the Royal Field Artillery, and was one of the Military Attaches to Dr. Chaim Weizmann and the First Zionist Commission. On his Canadian tour, Mr. Samuel will speak in all larger Jewish communities on the various prob-
