Marvin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Goldfinger, 208 Waterloo Avenue, was called to the Reading of^he Law, in celebration of his bar-mitzvah. He is the brother of Lory, aged nine years; Howard, seven; and Ralph, two. The following night at the Murray House two hundred guests were received. Mrs. Goldfinger received in beige peau de soie sheath gown which was trimmed with beads; and had a mauve orchid corsage. Mrs. Jacob Goldfinger, great-aunt, wore a black lace sheath gown fashioned with a round neckline; and had a mauve orchid corsage. Seated at the head table with the family members were Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Goldfinger, great-uncle and aunt; Mr. and Mrs. Morris Goldfinger, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gimble, all of New Jersey; Mr, and Mrs. Morris Lerner, and Rosalie and David, of New York, all cousins. The table was adorned with a centerpiece of varicoloured fall flowers and Marvin's name spelled out with red roses. Mr. Gold-finger, great-uncle, gave the blessing over the challah. Those who lit candles with the above family members were: Mr. and Mrs. Irving Bernstein, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sterner, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Herskowitz, Mr. and Mrs. K. Crumb, Mr. and Mrs. J. He is the brother of Mrs. Milliard Stern (Sharma), 55 Broadway Avenue, and of Eldon, six and one-half years. A cocktail party followed the same night at the Synagogue. Mrs. Bossin wore a cream-coloured satin dress with beige lace; and fashioned with a scooped neckline and a bouffant skirt, and with a cream-coloured satin cummerbund, ending in a bow; and had a wristlet ox beige-tinted carnations. Mra. Stern wore a red satin dress; which had bell-shaped sleeves and skirt; with a wristlet of red and white roses.
