TORONTO MARRIAGES
PASTERNAK-WEINSTEIN
The marriage of Miss Susan Weinatein, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Weinitein, 68 Beatrice Street, to Jack Pasternak, son of Mrs. Fay Pasternak, 628 Castle-field Avenue, was solemnized on December 5, at six o'clock, at Murray House, by Rabbi Barnard Ro-sensweig, assisted by Cantor A. Wantroff. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of heavy white satin, witn a bouffant skirt extending into a chapel train, and had a scooped neckline and fitted bodice trimmed with seed-pearl-beading. A lace head-band, studded with seed-pearl-beads, held her three-tlereu veil; and she carried a white bible adorned with two white orchids and flying streamers. Mrs. David Leifer was matron of honour. Her gown of light mauve, shirred chiffon had shoestring straps, and a bouffant skirt scattered with tiny mauve bows; and she had a rhmestone tiara; and
carried a cascade bouquet of white and mauve carnations. The best man was Lton Pasternak, brother of the groom. The ushers were: Allan Weinstein, brother of the bride; Ralph Bongard, Jack West, and David Leifer. The canopy was trimmed with bouquets and standards of white and pink carnations. A dinner and reception followed in the Majestic Room of Murray House. Mrs. Weinstein, mother of the bride, wore a gown of beige lace, with an underskirt of lightweight taffeta, and fashioned with a tight-fitting bodice and straight skirt, caught in back with two floating panels. Her corsage was of beige-tinted baby orchids. Mrs. Pasternak, mother of the groom, wore a sheath gown of powder-blue peau de soie, with a rounded neckline, and short sleeves; and had a corsage of pink Tea roses. Mr. and Mrs. Pasternak spent their wedding trip in New York. For going away, the bride wore a beige, three-piece, knitted suit; with a beige, cashmere mink-trimmed coat. The marriage of Miss Gild* Richtlger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Richtlger, 250 Sand-rlnghara Drive, to Erwin Kevin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Revin, 78 St Anne's Road, was solemnized on Sunday, January 17, at half-past five o'clock, at Adath Israel Synagogue, by Rabbi Erwin Schild, assisted by Cantor Morris Nixon. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a long gown of white peau de soie, apphqued with lace and embroidered with seed-pearl-beads. It was designed with a round neckline; Empire bodice: long, pointed sleeves; and a full skirt, shorter in front. Her fingertip veil of illusion was draped to a crown of seed-pearl beads; and
�he carried a white Bible adorned with a white orchid. Mrs. Fagia �cher, sister of the groom was matron of honour. Her gown was of peacock-blue, peau de sole, cut with a fitted bodice, scooped neckline, and bell-shaped skirt. She had a rhinestone tiara; and carried a cascade of peach-coloured roses. The bridesmaids were: Misses Simi Revin. Zellah Bel-kind, and Paula Allen, and Mrs. Sheila Stekel. Each wore a gown of purple peau de soie, with a bell-shaped skirt: and had a rhinestone tiara. They carried cascade bouquets of white,and pink roses and carnations. Beverly Revin and Judy Potten were flower girls, in pink organs* dresses; with headbands of pleated ribbon; and carried baskets of pink rose petals. Gerald Richtiger, brother of the bride, was best man. The ushers were: Milton Scher, Robert Silver, Robert Zigelstein, Allen Devlin, Louis Gwartz, Yehuda Danzig, Martin Stekel, and Arnold Felclman. Stephen Potten was page boy. The Synagogue was decorated with standards of white chrysanthemums, and pink snapdragons and carnations. A dinner and reception followed at the Synagogue. Mrs. Richtiger, mother of the bride, wore a mauve organza sheath, with soft pleats draped around the skirt which extended into a train effect Her hat was of mauve feathers. Mrs. Revin, mother of the groom, wore a gown of pink organza over brocade which had a bell-shaped
skirt, and beaded trimming; with a pink feathered hat Their corsages were of orchids. Mr. and Mrs. Revin spent their wedding trip at the Nevele Country Club, in Ellenville, N. Y.; and in New York. The bride went away in a green woollen suit, with a black sealskin coat; and had a green orchid corsage. They will reside at 490 Wilson Avenue. Out-of-town guests here for the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. A. Potten, uncle and aunt of the bride, and Jerome, Ricky, and Ronah, of Peterboro, Ont: Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ritchie, cousins of the bride, of St. Catharines, Ont; Mr. and Mrs. S. The marriage of Miss Aviva Fox, of Tel Aviv. Israel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Moahe Fox, of Natanya, Israel, to Yaak Nissan, of Tel Aviv, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Nissenbaum, 801 St Clair Avenue West, Toronto, took place at Adath Israel Synagogue, on Sunday, January 24, at five o'clock. Rabbi Erwin Schild officiated, assisted by Cantor Murray Nixon, brother of the groom. The bride was given in marriage by Sydney Applebaum, cousin of the groom. She wore an oyster-shaded, princess gown of hand-woven Israeli tapestry linen, with Yemenite embroidery. It was cut to form a high front and low V-back neckline; with three-quarter-length-sleeves; and a full skirt which dipped slightly in the back. A jewelled crown held her illusion veil; and she carried a prayer book with a white orchid and stephanotis. The matron of honour was Mrs. Murray Nixon, sister-in-law of the groom, who wore an orchid-coloured, silk organza length gown, with scooped neckline; short sleeves; and bell-shaped skirt Her headpiece was a rhinestone tiara; and she carried yellow roses. The junior bridesmaids were: Misses Rhonda Nixon, niecer of the groom, who wore a light green, nylon, short-sleeved gown, with full skirt: and a white and green flowered headpiece; and Cyvia Applebaum, who wore a beige organza gown in similar style; and matching headpiece. They carried yellow carna-.lions. Michael Benezan was best man. The Synagogue was decorated with standards of gladioli and greenery. Mrs. NissenbaUm, mother of the groom, wore a gown of gray lace over pink peau de soie; with matching hat; and orchid corsage. Mr. and Mrs. Yaak Nissan spent their wedding trip travelling by air to New York; � and from there to London. England; Paris and Marseilles, France; and then to Israel. The bride travelled in a winter-white wool suit; and had an orchid corsage. They have taken up residence in Tel Aviv, Israel. Here for the marriage were: Rabbi Manuel Forman, cousin of the bride, of Brookline, Mass.; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Meyers, of Bronx, N. Y.; and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Abra-mowitz, of Welland, Ont.

Miss Barbara Bader, sister of tht bride, as maid of honour, and Misses Elizabeth Gurofsky and Ar-lene Freeman, as bridesmaids, were gowned alike in hunters green crystalette over taffeta, cut with scooped neckline; and draped short sleeves. They wore green bandeaux; and carried semi-cascades of yellow chrysanthemums, roses, and carnations. The junior bridesmaids, Misses Sharon Bader, sister of the bride: and Judy Sheffe, wore pale yellow organza over taffeta; with yellow flowered head-bands; and carried nosegays of yellow roses with green ivy. Sydney Atlin was best man. The ushers were: Michael Bader. brother ofi the bride; Donald Bader, cousin of the bride; Harvey Samuels, Sydney Kirsch, Morton Eisen, Paul Gorofsky. Jack Lesser, and Richard Balick. The altar and aisles of the Synagogue were decorated with all-yellow standards of gladioli, carnations, and chrysanthemums. Mrs. Bader, mother of the bride, wore a sea-fpam-green brocaded gown, with side drapery; and scooped neckline; and a yellow orchid corsage. Mrs. Silver, mother of the groom, wore an eggshell-coloured brocaded gown threaded with gold; and deep mauve orchid corsage. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Foreht spent their honeymoon in New York, the bride travelling in a suit of black wool; with pink flowered hat; and corsage of pink Sweetheart roses.
