Born, to Mr. and Mrs. Eben Ezra (nee Hanna Hoffman, formerly of Halifax, N.S.), of Jerusalem, Israel, a daughter, Henrietta
(Henri), on July 26, in Jerusalem; granddaughter of Mr. and* Mrs. Jack Hoffman, 61 Pepperell Street, Halifax; and the niece of Mrs. Julius Silverman, 28 Inglewood Drive. Mr. and Mrs. Hoffman are visiting in Jerusalem, for an indefinite stay, with their family.
Harry Arron, 36 Rosebank Avenue, is a patient at the Victoria General Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Solomon, and son, David, Crichton Park Road, Dartmouth, X. S., returned home after spending six weeks visiting relatives and friends in Westcltff-On-Sea, Essex, England.
Five delegates from the Halifax Zionist Council have been named to be present at the thirty-fifth national convention of the Zionist Organization of Canada to be held in Montreal, in October. They are: Dr. I. K. Lubetsky, Noah Heinish, S. S. Jacobson, Peter Herschorn, and Saul Off man. The Israel ambassador to Canada, the Honourable Yaacov Hensog; and Dr. Salo W. Baron, professor of Jewish history, literature, and institutions at Columbia University, in New York, will be speakers.
