The program will be presented by students of the Hebrew courses, the Public Speaking Class of the Y.. directed by Irving Kaufman; and the dance group of the Hebrew Youth Movement, directed by Be-calel Shakovitz. The community singing^will be led by Miss Cha-nnah Wolfish, accompanied by an accordionist There will be presentation by David Finestone, national vice-president, Eastern Region of Keren Hatarbut, of the nAyin", symbolizing the Hebrew Renaissance, to leaders of therY., Mrs. E. Shapiro, chairman of the Jewish Education Committee of the Y, and Dr. Charles Solomon, of the Keren Hatarbut, will speak. Rabbi A. Horowitz, national director of Keren Hatarbut, will be chairman.

Jaign leaders, canvassers and riends, in the Ottawa Histadrut Centre, heard a report of achievements and future plans from Abraham Shurem, national director. A quota of $40,000 was accepted by the Ottawa Histadrut campaign, double the amount raised last year. A. L. Achbar, national treasurer of the Association for Labor Israel, and chairman of the Ottawa campaign the past two years, presided.* Abe Palmer, was elected chairman of ,the Appeal. In celebration of forty years of Histadrut in Israel, and to honour Mr. Achbar, a trade school project in Israel was unanimously decided on. Others on the committee are: Harry Goldstein, vice-president; Sol Sterner, chairman, Histadrut League campaign Committee; Samuel Schwartz, campaign treasurer; Harry Shin-der, campaign manager; Harry Rosenblatt, assistant; I. Shalom, captain of the campaign teams; A. L. Achbar, Manny Glatt, chairmen, special names committee.

Pinsker Kinyan Torah Synagogue, Morris J. Werner. Rabbi: Michael, son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Harrison, 5727 Trans Island Avenue; and Samuel, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Litovaky, 6211 Lennox Avenue, will be called to the Reading of the Torah, honouring their Bar-Mitz-vah, on December 17. On December 18, at 9.30 a.m., a Chanukah breakfast will be given by the Men's Club for the children. A puppet show has been arranged. Conveners are: Manny Fleischer, Bernard Zackon, Jack Kofsky. Bernard Hops, Mac Gunner, Edward Bernstein. Howard Ungar is president. At a dinner executive meeting of the Club, the guest speaker was Frank Lowe, of the Montreal Star.
