Mr. GUBB was recently elected Provincial vice-president of the Canadian Bar Association, the first Jew to hold this office. Mr. and Mrs. Guss were among the head table guests.

Beth Israel Synagogue, Halifax, N. S.; Sisterhood meeting was a Chanukah luncheon. Mrs. A. Greenspan asked the blessing over the candles. H. Cohen, the Hebrew teacher, sang folk songs, accompanying himself on the guitar. Mrs. H. Dobrinsky, wife of the Rabbi, gave a report on the Atlantic City convention of the Women's Branch of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, which she attended as a delegate.

Saul Berlin, of Toronto, Ont., executive secretary of the Eastern Canadian Council of Bnai Brith, addressed the Saint John, N. B., chapter of Bnai Brith Lodge Number 1963. He was the dinner guest of Samuel Babb, and of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Tanzman.
Among the honoured guests who attended the Dalhousie University Medical Ball were: Dean and Mrs. C. B. Stewart, Dr. and Mrs. C. B. Weld, Dr. and Mrs, R. 0. Jones, and Isaac Boniuk, a fourth year medical student, and president of the Students' Society.
Hadassah, of Halifax, N. S.: A replica of the Thrift Shop, 33 Agricole Street, operated by Halifax Chapter, was made by Mes-dames B. Sheffman, and J. Ger-stenfeld for the Hadassah regional conference, in Fredericton, N. B., and displayed at the meeting held in Beth Israel Synagogue.

The marriage of Miss Rhoda Ai-senthal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Aisenthal, 1090 Mill Hill Road, to Irving Dardick. son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dardick, 1017 Emmanuel Street, took place at Beth Hamedrash Hagadol Synagogue, on November 6, at six o'clock. Rabbi Lester Rosner officiated, assisted by Cantor Moshe Kaufler. and Reverend A. Eichen-stein. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Her princess gown of white peau de soie, was made with a scooped neckline; long, pointed sleeves; 'and full bouffant skirt, appliqued with lace ajid sequins. Her elbow-length veil of tulle illusion was fastened to a rhinestone crown; and she carried a white velvet muff adorned with mauve orchids. Miss Sandra Aisenthal, sister of the bride, as maid of honour, was in a mauve organza gown. She had a rhinestone tiara; and carried yellow carnations. Marlene Aisenthal, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a pink and whiU organdy dress; with a crown of pink carnations; and carried a nosegay of pink and white carnations. Bram Vatch, brother-in-law of the groom, was best man. The ushers were: Barry Aisenthal, brother of the bride; Marvin Yarrow, cousin of the bride; Abe Aisenthal, and Sol Aisenthal, uncles of the bride; Bernard Tennen-house, cousin of the groom; Issie Reisler, Seymour Samberg, and David Silverman. Brian Frohlich cousin of the bride, was page boy. Standards of pink and white gladioli and pom-poms decorated the Synagogue ana hall. Mrs. Aisenthal, mother of the bride, was in a brocaded blue satin gown, which had a scooped neckline; short sleeves; and its own bolero; and her hat was blue. Mrs. Dardick, mother of the groom, wore a turquoise-blue, satin gown, cut with a scooped neckline; short sleeves; and full skirt, draped at the side; with a matching hat Their corsages were of mauve orchids. Mr, and Mrs. Irving Dardick spent their wedding trip in Miami Beach, Florida, and New York. The bride went away in a mauve, mohair, hand-knitted suit; with' a corsage of pink orchids. They have taken up residence at 1075 Marlboro Drive. Here for the marriage were: Mrs. Rose Anderson, of New York; J. Geller, Mr. and Mrs. H. Dardick, and Mr. and Mrs. B. Tennenhouse; all of Kingston, Ont.; and Mr. and Mrs. H. Vatch, of Sherbrooke, Que.
