Miss Alice Spoon, sister of the groom, was maid of honour. She wore a gold-coloured and brown silk dress; and a matching, feathered hat; and carried a cascade of beige and burnt-orange-coloured carnations. Isadore Spoon, brother of the groom, was best man. Pink and white .roses and carnations decorated the room. Mrs. Shendelman, mother of the bride, wore a light blue silk dress; and a feathered headdress. Mrs. Spoon, mother of the groom, was in a blue, silk shantung dress; with a blue hat. Their corsages were of pink carnations. Mr. and Mrs. Max Spoon spent their wedding trip irt New York, the bride travelling in a black, two-piece dress; and a matching coat; with a corsage of pink carnations.

Eli Boyaner, of Saint John, N. B., long prominent .in youth work and numerous, other community activities has been selected fpr the sixteenth time as Provincial Commissioner for the Boy Scouts Association. The appointment of Mr, Boyaner was confirmed by Provincial Scout headquarters after the approval of appointment had just been received from the Chief Scout of Canada, Governor-General George Vanier. Mr. Boyaner advanced from Scoutmaster in 1924 through the various ranks of Scouting until in 1944 he was appointed provincial commissioner. He is chairman of the national training committee, a member of the international committee, and he was the leader of the Canadian Contingent to the Jubilee Jamboree in 1957 and the Phillippine Jamboree in 1959. Mr. Boyaner's selection to the top uniformed Scouting post in the Province was enacted during the conducted annual meeting of the provincial^ council held at Fredericton. ' Mr/Boyaner is available to address gatherings in all parts of the Province and Provincial Scout Headquarters should be reached on this point for developments.

B., celebrated the bar-mitzYah of their son, Sydney, Isaiah, who was called to the Reading of the Law, at Shaarei Zedek Synagogue. He is the brother of Sarah. A Kiddush luncheon followed. Sydney Isaiah was presented with a bible by the Sisterhood and board of education of the Synagogue, and two trees were planted in his name in Israel by Henrietta Szold Chapter of Hadas-sah. Here for the bar-mitzvah were: Israel Weizel, of Montreal, Que., uncle; and Mr. and Mrs, Meyer Berg, and Sybil and Joel, of Fredericton, N. B. A party was held that evening. Those who assisted were: Mesdames L. Citren, B. Cohen, Eli Davis, Samuel Davis, S. Fainer, B. Goldfeather, S. Gros-weiner, A. M. D. Guss, M; Kashet-sky, M. Levine, L. Selby, and Joseph Tanzman.
