Organization: Zadok Zavir, Israeli artist and singer, now appearing at the Sahbra Club in New York, will give his first guest performance in Montreal, at the annual reunion of Camp Massad on Sunday, January 16, at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel. Two separate programs, one for the campers and staff, and the other for parents and guests, will commence at 2:00 p.m., in the Salon Marquette and the Grand Salon respectively. The program for campers and staff will be conducted by Dr. C. Solomon and Yigal Horowitz. Awards will be made by I. Cotler, A. Dick-stein, B. Margulis and Y. Mishkin. Zehavah Bauman, Leah Kibrick and Sarah Kornbluth will lead . a sing-song. The chairman of the program for parents and guests will be D. Finestone, chairman of the board of directors of Massad. Moshe May, one of the outstanding graduates and leaders of Massad, will speak on "The Role Of Massad In The Education Of Our Youth For Jewish Living And Leadership." M. Dr. Best also met Professor Jack Gross, formerly of Montreal, who now heads Cancer Research and Experimental Medicine at the Hebrew University. The greater portion of his visit with his party was devoted to inspection of scientific institutes, art colonies, new development towns, and visits to Holy Land religious shrines, Wherever the party went in Israel, doctors, civic delegations, and others came out to extend greetings and hospitality. On departure Dr. Best said: "To a scientist, it is heartening to see scientific principles being applied in a new country in almost every aspect of its development. The results are evident in purposeful people, deriving contentment from fruitful work."
