Mrs. S. Sable, of Glace Bay, N.S., visited her son-in-law, and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Friedman, of Montreal, Quebec.
E. Joftes, of Washington, D. C., secretary general of the International council of Bnai Brith, spoke. Professor Joftes is the holder of four academic degrees, and taught tComparative Government at his alma mater, Harvard University, in Cambridge, Mass.; and International Law at Boston University Law School. He attended the Nuremberg trials, following the Second World War, as an observer for Bnai Brith; and served for four years as director of Bnai Brith European Office in Paris, France. He is director of Bnai Brith at the United Nations where it acts in a consultative capacity as a non-governmental organization with the UN Economic and Social Council through the Co-ordinating Board of Jewish Organizations.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Silverman, 6940 Inglewood Drive, Halifax, N. S.( have returned after spending some time in Boston, Mass., and New York.

Godparents are Alfred 'Brown, and Mrs. Irving Myers, uncle, and aunt, both of Frederic-ton.
