GINSBERG-DONNENFIELD
The marriage of Mtss Susan Joan Donnenfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Donnenfield, 2600 Bathurst Street. Toronto, Ont.. to Lawrence Stanley Ginsberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert C. Ginsberg, 5059 Victoria Avenue, Montreal, took place at .Holy Blossom Temple, in Toronto, on February 17, at six o'clock. Rabbi W..Gun. ther Plaut officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of re-embroidered Chaiitilly lace and de-Justred satin. The lace bodice was designed with a scalloped neckline; and three-quarter-length sleeves; and the full skirt, was appliqued with re-embroidered lace, ana arranged itself as a chapel train. Her finger-tip veil of tulle illusion was placed by a tiny crown of lace, trimmed with seed-pearl-beads and sequins; and she carried a prayer book with white orchids and stephanotis. Mrs. Donald A. Bierstock was matron of honour, and Miss Harriet Woh] was maid of honour. They wore gown of cerise chiffon, with matching pill, box hats; and carried bouquets of cerise and pink carnations. Herbert M. Ginsberg was best man for his brother. The ushers were: Douglas Donnenfield, brother of the bride; Allan Newman, cousin of the bride; Lawrence Steinhauer, cousin of the groom; Donald Bier-stocky Dr. Gerald Wright, Raphael Fleming, Gerald Naimer, and Martin Sversky. The Temple was adorned with chrysanthemums and carnations. An orchestra played. Afterwards two hundred and fifty guests were received in the Temple hall. Mrs. Donnenfield, mother of the bride, was in a gown of pink peau de soie, embroidered with pink beads; with a matching hat. Mrs. Ginsberg, the groom's mother, was gowned in gold-coloured peau de soie, embroidered with pink beads; with a matching hat. Their flowers were corsages of white orchids. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ginsberg spent their wedding trip in the Virgin Islands, the bride departing in a black, wool suit; with a corsage of white orchids. STERN-POLAN
The marriage of Miss Sharon Beverley Polan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Polan. 203 Haddington Avenue, to Michael Stem, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Stern, 332 Rushton Road, was solemnized on Sunday, January 7, 1962, at half-past five o'clock, at Beth David Synagogue, by Rabbi Albert Pappenheim, assisted by Cantor David Greengarten. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a long white, peau de soie gown, styled with a broad neckline; three-quarter-length sleeves; bodice apphqued in Chantilly lace; and bell-shaped skirt with a court train. Her crown of seed-pearl-beads, with crystal drops, placed her tulle illusion, elbow-length veil; and she carried a white bible with white
orchids and stephanotis. The matrons of honour were; Mrs. Arnold Polan, sister-in-law of the bride, in a bright pink, peau de sole gown, fashioned with a scooped neckline; and bell-shaped skirt; with a cabbage rose headdress and veil; and Mrs. Seymour Fishman, sister of the groom, in a coral-pink, peau de sole, sheath, with a Chantlily lace tunic skirt; With a matching cabbage rose headpiece. They carried cascades of pink and white roses and carnations. The best mah was Seymour Fishman, brother-in-law of the. groom. The ushers were: Arnold Polan, brother of the bride; Howard and Gary Polan, cousins of the bride; Raymond Morris, cousin of the groom; Sidney Solomons, Howard Balsky, Frank Hoffman, and Abe Grossman, cousin of the bride. A dinner followed at the Synagogue, and three hundred and twenty-five guests were received. Mrs. Polan, the bride's mother, wore a rose-beige-coloured, peau de soie gown; with a beaded bodice: and lace appliques on one side of the bell-shaped skirt; also a matching hat; and carried a tinted-to-match orchid with her evening bag. Mrs. Stern, the groom's mother, wore a beige, peau ' de sole gown, with a draped bodice appliqued in seed-pearl-beads: also a matching hat: and had a tin ted-to-match orchid with her purse. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Stern spent their wedding trip at the Di Lido Hotel, in Miami Beach Florida; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and St Thomas, the Virgin Islands. The bride travelled in a beige, cashmere suit, with mink collar; and had a petalled hat. They will reside at 3880 Bathurst Street Here for the marriage were: Mrs. N. Feldman and Mrs. L. The bridesmaids were: Mrs. Aaron Lamport, sister-in-law of the groom; and Mrs. Barry Kirshin, cousin of the bride. They wore gowns of peri-' winkle-blue peau de sole; with headdresses of that material; and carried bouquets of pink and white carnations. Dr. Aaron Lamport, brother, of the groom, was best man. The ushers were: David, and Irving Goodman; and Dr. Arthur Tarshis, cousins of the groom; Barry Kirshin, and Norton Lon-gert, cousins of the bride; Samuel Stupp, Dr. Joshua Fedder, and Jerry Friedman. At a dinner, following the ceremony, at the Synagogue, two hundrea guests were received. Mrs. Cozman, mother of the bride, wore a 'pale-mauve, peau de sole sheath, adorned with beadwork around the neckline, and down one side of the overskirt. She had a matching headdress; and an orchid wristlet, tinted to match - her gown. Mrs. Lamport, mother of the groom, wore a medium-blue, peau de soie sheath, with an apron front, with sash and drapery at one side; and a heart-shaped neckline trimmed with beadwork. She had a matching headdress; and a white, and blue-tinted orchid wristlet Dr. and Mrs. David M. Lamport spent their honeymoon in Mexico City, and Acapulco, Mexico. The bride departed in a red, knitted wool suit, trimmed with black; with a H)lack, velvet hat; and had a white orchid corsage. They are residing at 3905 Bathurst Street. The marriage of Miss Esther Ann Cozman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Cozman, 4141 Bathurst Street, to Dr. David M. Lampert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lampert, 1112 Bloor Street West, was solemnized at Beth David Synagogue, on January 13, at half-past six o'clock, by Rabbi A. Pappenheim, assisted by Cantor David Greengarten. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a gown of white peau de sole, with torso-line bodice, appliqued with Alencon lace, worked with seea-pfe^f 1-beads; and a full skirt extending from self-material roses at the waistline to form a chapel train. Her fingertip veil of tulle illusion was gathered to a crown of seed-pearl-beads, and sequins; and her flowers were camellias and stephanotis. The marriage of Miss Janet Edith Klebanoff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Klebanoff, 24 Dewbourne Avenue, to Ian Irving Roher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Roher, 2515 Bathurst Street, was solemnized at Beth Tzedec Synagogue, on February 18, at half-past five o'clock, by Rabbi Stuart E. Rosenberg; Rabbi S. Kanter, of Beth Am Synagogue: and Rabbi Sol. Spiro, of Buffalo, N. Y., a cousin of the groom. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her gown was of white, peau de faille, with long sleeves; fitted bodice, with scooped neckline, accented with silver-embroidered appliques; and bell.'' shaped skirt which shaped itself as a cathedral train from a slightly dropped waisline. Scattered appliques were repeated on the front of skirt, and on the train. An appliqued coronet held the bride's triple-tiered, fingertip, illusion veil; and she carried Chalice roses, with orchids, and stephanotis, in a
cascade arrangement Mrs. Leonard Klebanoff, sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honour, wearing a gown of emerald-green, de-' lustred satin, embellished with self-material roses from the back of the waist to the bottom of the bell-shaped skirt: and her headdress was also of satin roses. The bridesmaids were: Mrs. Chaim Calof. of Ottawa, Ont, cousin of the bride; Mrs. Gary Gutman, Miss Judy Coldoff, and Miss Susan Samuels. They wore gowns of mint-green organza over satin, with bodices of white lace; and matching bows for headdresses. All the attendants carried cascades of gold-tinted roses, and laurel. Robyn Sandra Siegel, niece of the groom, Was flower girl, wearing a long dress of mint-green organza; with a green headband; and carried a basket of Chalice roses. Howard Roher, brother of the groom, was best man. The ushers were: Murray Roher. brother of the groom; Leonard Klebanoff, brother of the bride; Jack Siegel, brother-in-law of the groom; Howard Tanenbaum, cousin of the groom; Dr. Irwin Keltz, Paul Sherman, David Blackstein, and Herbert Freiberg. Bruce Cary Roher, nephew of the groom, was ring-bearer. Tall standards of gold-coloured Chalice roses, and yellow gladioli, with eucalyptus, decked the aisles of the Sanctuary. Miss Evelyn Pasen was the soloist; and the Beth Tzedec Choir, with Gordon Kushner at the organ, sang during the ceremony. A dinner reception followed in the banquet hall for six hundred guests. Mrs. Klebanoff, mother of the bride, wore a long gown of silk satin, in golden-yellow, which had a fitted, beaded bodice; sculptured neckline: and a bell-shaped skirt, worked with topaz stones, pearl-beads, and gold and yellow Ceylon beads on the centre panel. She had a bead-trimmed, matching headdress; and a wristlet of yellow-tinted Cym-bidium orchids. Mrs. Roher, mother of the groom, wore a long gown of green satin, made with fitted bodice; and full skirt, embroidered from the waist to half way down the skirt, in gold-colour. She had a headdress to match it; and a wristlet of pale-green Cypripedium orchids. Mr. and Mrs. Ian Irving Roher are spending their honeymoon in Mexico City, and Acapulco, Mexico, having travelled via Trans-Canada Air Lines. The bride went away in a beige, cashmere dress, trimmed with brown braid; and a brown. Alaska seal coat, with a brown ribbon hat; and an orchid corsage tinted to match. The marriage of Miss Dolly Doris Penwick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Penwick, 39 Cher-rywood Avenue, to Max Kerzner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Kerzner, 116 Dewbourne Avenue, was solemnized on Wednesday, January 3, 1962, at six o'clock, at Beth Tzedec Synagogue, by Rabbi Stuart E. Rosenberg, assisted by Cantor Joseph Cooper. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an off-white gown, with a French lace bodice;
and a sheath skirt of delustered satin; with a cathedral train fastened at the waistline. A rhinestone and pearl tiara held her veil; and she carried a cascade of phaeleo-nopsis orchids and stepnanotis. Mrs. Ralph Akler, cousin of the bride, was the matron of honour. She wore an off-White, peau de soie and lace gown; and had a matching, veiled, rose headdress; and carried a cascade bouquet of pink rosea and chrysanthemums. Morris Kerzner, brother of the groom, was the best man. The ushers were: Joseph, Louis, and Albert Kerzner, brothers of the groom; and Marvin Winer. The wedding music was played by Archie Ginsberg and nis orchestra. A dinner and reception took place at the Synagogue, and two hundred and sixty guests were received. Mrs. Penwick, the bride's mother, wore a melon-coloured chiffon, cocktail-length gown; styled with an appliqued French lace and beaded bodice; and a longer back panel on the sheath skirt. She had a matching hat; and had a white orchid on her evening bag. Mrs. Kerzner, the groom's mother, chose a champagne-beige, peau de soie cocktail gown; with a beaded bodice; and had a matching hat; and a white orchid corsage. Mr. and Mrs. Max Kerzner spent their wedding trip on a Caribbean cruise, aboard the S. S. Rotterdam. The bride travelled in a red suit; with a black beaver collar. They will reside in Toronto.
