They have a daughter. Esther, aged nine and one-half years. Mr. Lerner is the son of Mrs. S. Lerner, 3385 Goyer Avenue, who was a guest. Jewish organizations and synagogues across Canada cooperate with the United Jewish Relief Agencies of the Congress for Mo'ess Chittin campaigns. Over 153,805 pounds of matzos and 33,-304 pounds of matzos-meal have been ordered for distribution to needy Jews in Europe, Israel, and North Africa, by the American Joint Distribution Committee. Funds to purchase these Passover comforts are raised in Jewish communities all over the world. In Canada, most of the money collected is donated to the Joint Distribution Committee Passover program.

evening of "Songs And Dances Of Our People" sponsored by the organization, at the West Hill High School on March 10, at 8.80 p.m. The Dance Group is composed of eight young French-Canadian sty dents and workers who have made a hobby of Israeli folk dancing. They are part of the Folk-loriste Association of Quebec, which is devoted to folk dancing of all nations, and has grown to a membership of 8,000. . Small groups within it do research in the music and choreography for these dances and give the benefit of their work to their other groups. The Dance Group is teaching Israeli folk dancing to other groups in Quebec. Andre Maranda fa their leader. Yaffa Yarkoni will sing an international 'medley in addition to her repertoire of Hebrew and Israeli songs.

Louis Stralovitch, 5173 Bourret Street, died suddenly in Miami Beach, Florida, on February 2, at the age of seventy-one years. Born in Romania, Mr. Stralovitch emigrated to Canada at the age of nineteen years and eventually founded an organisation which controls five retail men's btores in Montreal. Mr. Strulovitch was a lifelong member of the Indepeni dent Hebrew Sick Benefit Society; a former vice-president of Beth Matasui Congregation; was a supporter of the Home of the Sages of Israel, a home for aged and retired rabbis in New York; and helped to finance the emigration of people from occupied countries to Israel.
Isaac Davine, 6461 Trans Island Avenue, died at the Jewish General Hospital, on Sunday, February 4, at the age of seventy-six years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Libby Lichtenstein Davine; five sons: Samuel, 6770 Leger (Avenue; Ben., 1781 Hartenstein Avenue; Henry, 2278 Mantha Street; Richard, 6223 Rosedale Avenue; Abraham, of Newton, MasB.; a daughter, Mrs. Ben. Mr. Davine was born in Lithuania and came to Canada when he was twenty years old. He was an honorary president of the Jewish Community Council of Montreal; and a former president of the North End Vilkomirer Society. Prior to his retirement, he was a board member of the United Talmud Torahs; and of the Jewish Hospital of Hope. He was a founder and former president of Chevra T'hilim Synagogue.
Mrs. Dora Liebush Miller, of Miami Beach, Florida, died in Miami Beach, on Tuesday, February 6. She is survived by her husband, Louis Miller; two sons: Irwin, 12 Chesterfield Avenue, Montreal; Gerald, 6166 Sherbrooke Street West; two grandchildren: Laurie and Audrey, children of Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Miller; and four bisters: Mrs. Max Farber (Sarah), and Miss Lillian Liebush, both of Brooklyn, N. Abraham Weiskop, 4711 Plam-oodon Avenue, died at the Jewish General Hospital, on December 29. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. -Gotcha Dinar Weiakop; a brother, Morris Wieskopf, 5258 Cumberland Avenue; and e sister, Mrs, Era Rosen, 4567 Esplanade Avenue. Selskop came to Canada from bad n 1920. At the time of his
death he was president of the Montreal United Hebrew Cemetery Association. He had been a Combined Jewish Appeal board member; a member Of the executive of Adath Jeshurun Synagogue; and of the Jewish Community Council. Several times he was president of the Russian-Polish Hebrew Society; a board member of the Society of Polish Jews in Canada; and an executive member of the fraternal division of Montreal Histadrut.

Robert Melvin Finkelberg, 6230 Durocher Avenue, died suddenly at his home on Friday, February 9, at the age of fifty-seven years.
