The table was centered with a bowl of summer flowers arranged with white tapers in brass holders. The marriage will take place on November 4, in Saint John.

Mrs. J. C. Glube, Inglewood Drive, Halifax, N. S., was hostess to members of the Women's League of Shaar Shalom Congregation and their guests, at a garden party, the third in a series of parties in preparation for the annual tea and sale, on November 7.
Mr. and Mrs. Noa Heinish, of Halifax, N. S., announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Cecelia Heinish, to Michael Halzel, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Halzel, of Dorchester, Mass. The marriage will take place on September 2, at Shaar Shalom Synagogue, in Halifax.
Melvin Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Saul Brown, of Fredericton, N. B., has returned to Dalhousie University, Halifax, N. S., where he will resume his studies in fourth year dentistry. He spent the summer as a camp director.

Solomon, grandmother of the groom, was in a bine, peau de soie sheath; with a hat of that colour. Each had a corsage of red roses. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Goldin spent their wedding trip at the Nevele Cpuntry Club; in Ellenville, N. Y., the bride going away in a silk, printed sheath; with a corsage of white orchids. The marriage of Miss Mary Louise Robey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Robey, of Madison, Wisconsin, to Martin Halpern, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Halpern, 74 McNider Avenue, took place at Temple Beth El, in Madison, on Sunday, August 12, at half-past three o'clock. Rabbi A. Rosensweig officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of white peau de soie, cut with a fitted bodice; scooped neckline; three - quarter - length sleeves; and full skirt made with a bustle-back, and terminating in a chapel train. Her veil of tulle illusion was combined with a crown of seed-pearl-beads; and she carried a bouquet of white orchids and lilies-of-the-valley. Miss Judith Kessler, the maid of honour, wore a pale blue chiffon gown, made with a lace bodice; and full skirt; also a matching headpiece: and carried a cascade of blue ana white carnations. Janet Robey, aged thirteen years; and Rhona Evelyn Halpern, ten, were junior bridesmaids, dressed alike in blue tulle, with full skirts, over blue organza; also matching crowns; and carried nosegays of white and blue carnations. Gerald Halpern was his brother's best man. Standards of white and blue carnations, chrysanthemums, and blue roses composed the wedding decorations. An orchestra played. A dinner took place for sixty guests in the Temple hall. Mrs. Robey, the bride's mother, wore a blue, peau de soie, with a chiffon cummerbund; also a hat of that colour. Mrs. Halpern, the groom'srmother. wore a white, peau de soie sheath, embroidered with blue beadwork; and a hat to match. Each had a corsage of white orchids. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Halpern spent their wedding trip travelling through the Maritimes. They have taken up residence in Madison, Wisconsin. There for the marriage were: the groom's parents; and sisters, Miss Honey Halpern, and Rhona; and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Halpern, of Cleveland, Ohio, brother and sister-in-law of the groom.

Rabbi David Monson, assisted by Cantor Henry Wahrman, officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She was attired in a full-length
gown of white peau-de-ange, appliqued with Chantilly lace and re-embroidered in seed-pearl-beads and crystals. It was designed with a fitted bodice; Sabrina neckline; and short sleeves. The bouffant skirt was embellished with a detachable cathedral-length train. Her headdress was a Spanish Chantilly lace man til la,, with tiny motifs of seed-pearl-beads; and a small veil. Her cascade bouquet was of orchids and stephanotis. Mrs. Irving Keyfitz, sister of the groom, was matron of honour. She was gowned in pure silk, pink organza, with a lace bodice; and the bouffant skirt had flowing panels, draped from the waistline. Her headpiece was a matching cabbage rose, with tulle; and she carried a bouquet of pink and white roses. Frank Caplan, brother of the bride was best man. The ushers were: Arthur and Melvyn Wolfond, cousins of the groom;

Mrs. Sable wore a horizon-blue chiffon sheath with a removable overskirt, encrusted with seed-pearl-beads and crystals. Each had a matching crown; and a corsage of white orchids. Dr. and Mrs. Stanley Earl Sable left by plane for Bermuda; and on their return stopped in New York. The bride departed in a white silk sheath suit with crimson trimming; and matching accessories; and had a white orchid corsage. They have taken up residence at 21 Mayfair Avenue.

The marriage of Miss Barbara Fagie Nimon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nimon, 450 Briar Hill Road, to Dr. Gordon Joel Don-sky, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Donsky, 31 Sultana Avenue, was solemnized at Beth Sholom Synagogue, on July 17, at six o'clock, by Rabbi David Monson, and Rabbi Solomon Langer, assisted by Cantor Henry Wahrman. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of white peau de soie. The neckline and side panniers of the skirt were outlined with clusters of lace with seed-pearl-beads and crystals. A small, open crown with seed-pearl-beads and crystal embroidery, held her bouffant veil; and she carried pink and white rosea with stephanotis, and feathered carnations. Miss Wendy Nimon, cousin of the bride, was the maid of honour, gowned in blush-pink lace; with a matching circlet; and her bouquet was of roses, and feathered carnations. Sandy Posluns, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl, in a dress of white organs*, over pink: with a matching headdress; and earned rotes, and feathered carnations. Bernard Donsky, brother of the groom, was best man.
