The marriage of Mrs. Florence May Willis. 104 Forest Hill Road, daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Sigmund Samuel, to John Meadows Marsh, Q.C., of Blackburn, England, took place on Friday, August 17. at half-past three o'clock, In the chambers of Magistrate Frederick W. Bartram. The bride was given in. marriage by Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Samuel, her son and daughter-in-law. She wore a dress of pale-blue, printed chiffon, over peau de sole; a white straw hat with veiling; and had a white orchid corsage. The "same evening a cocktail party and buffet supper was given at the home of Major B. Barry Shapiro and Mrs. Shapiro, 176 Old Yonge Street, for thirty-five close relatives and friends. Among those present were: Lieutenant-Governor J. Keiller Mackay and Mrs. Mackay, Justice F. H. Barlow and Mrs. Barlow, and Justice Walter Shroeder and Mrs. Shroeder. Mr. and Mrs. John Meadows Marsh sailed from Montreal, for a six-week honeymoon trip to England, and parts of Europe. They will reside in Toronto.

The marriage of Miss Millicent Helene (Penny) Cooper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Cooper, 2B00 Bathurst Street, to Martin E. Off man, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Offman, 48 Glenayr Road, was solemnized at Beth Tzedec Synagogue, on August 29, at six o'clock, by Rabbi Stuart E. Rosenberg, assisted by Rabbi David Monson; and by Rabbi J. J. Price* of New York, uncle of the bride. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of embroidered Alencon lace appli-qued on white peau de sole, which, had a full cathedral train. Her liny gertip veil of tulle illusion was caught to a matching, lace crown; and she carried a Bible with white roses and stephanotis. Mrs. Donald Stein, sister of the bride, was matron of honour, wearing a long: gown of blue peau de soie; and a blue, pill-box headdress. Her flowers were coral-coloured roses. The bridesmaids were: Mrs. Allan Offman, sister-in-law of the* groom; Mrs. Jack Roth, Misses Judith Broderson, Judith Klein-; hans, Nan Merkel, Barbara McCor-mick, and Bertye-Jill Myers. Their gowns were of blue satin, with matching, pill-box headdresses: and their flowers were shaded from pale coral-colour to purple. (Lisa Stein, niece of the bride, was t' flower girl, wearing a dress of white organza over blue; and carrying a nosegay of coral-coloured baby roses. Allan Offman, brother of the groom, was best man. The ushers were: Donald'Stein, brother-in-law of the bride; Howard Golden, Leon Offman, and Daniel Soberman; cousins of the groom; and Allan Glassman, Ronald Oel-baum, Dr. Stanley Rosen, and Marvin Stringer. After the ceremony a dinner reception was held at the Synagogue. Mrs. Cooper, mother of the bride, wore a long gown of pale-grey peau de soie, with a matching headdress; and had a pink orchid corsage. Mrs. Offman, mother of the groom, wore a long gown of pale-blue satin, with a headdress of that shade; and had a pale-pink orchid corsage. Mr. and Mrs. Offman went to Spain for their honeymoon, and other parts of Europe. The bride went away in an off-white enemble, with a black velvet hat; and her corsage was of green baby orchids. The marriage of Miss Ryna Linds, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Linds, 4653 Eleventh Street, Chomedey, to Michael Gordon, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Gordon, 7463 Ostell Crescent, took place in the study of Shomrim Laboker-Beth Yehudah-Shaare Tefillah Synagogue, on Sunday, June 3, at five o'clock. Dr. C. N. Denburg, Rabbi, officiated, assisted by Cantor Arieh Suber. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of white peau de soie, ap-pliqued with Alencon lace; cut with a fitted bodice; a square neckline; short sleeves; and full skirt with a chapel train. Her veil of tulle illusion was placed by a crown of seed-pearl-beads; and she had a bouquet of orchids and lilies-of-the-valley. Miss Heather Linds was her sister's maid of honour, wearing a pink, organza gown; made with a full skirt; also a matching hat; and carried pink carnations. Steven Linds, brother of the bride, was best man. After the services, a reception was held for the immediate family at the home of the bride's parents. Mrs. Linds, the bride's mother, wore a beige, lace sheath; with matching hat. Mrs. Gordon, the groom's mother, wore a silk sheath of red, black, and white tweed-effect material; with a matching hat Each had a corsage of white orchids. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Gordon spent their wedding trip at the Nevele Country Club, in Ellenville, N. Y., the bride going away in a pink, linen suit. They have taken up residence at 5000 Bourret Street.

Mrs. Pearl Ro-senstein, grandmother of the bride, was in a champagne-coloured, crepe and lace sheath, with its own jacket. Her hat was of the same shade; and her flowers were a corsage of American Beauty rosea. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry M. Cohen spent their wedding trip in Jamaica, the British West Indies, the bride departing in a light beige, boucle suit. They have taken up residence in Toronto, Ont.
