BALFOUR CLUB
A dance was held last Saturday evening at the Y.M.H.A. by the Balfour Club in honor of the Balfour Rugby Team, which recently won the Juvenile Championship of the city. Several officials of the City Rugby League were present, including Messrs. De Gruchy, H. McKee, F. Waghorne and C. S. Lewis, who complimented the team on their successful season and sportsmanlike behaviour on and off the field. Mr. G. S. Lewis, secretary of the C.R.H., presented the medals to the players and also the W. R. Adams Trophy to the team. Mr. M. Schatz, the coach of the team, reviewed the difficult experience of the team during the long season.
The patrons and patronesses of the dance were Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Bennett, Mr. and Mrs. P. Shulman, and Dr. M. Schwartz. The dance was a social success, <iue to the untiring efforts of the committee, Messrs. A. Lipson, H. Bennett and J. Rumac.
THE EZRAS NOSHEM SOCIETY
At the last meeting held at the Zionist Institute, great enthusiasm'was evinced over the report of the bazaar. The members were well pleased with the work of their executive.

The Ladies' Beach Auxiliary entertained fifty children at a Chanukah party at the Beach Institute. The entertainment opened with the singing of the "Hatikvah." Rabbi Julius Siegei and Mrs. I. H. Siegei spoke.on Chanukah. A delightful program was arranged by the committee, consisting of Mrs. L. M. Schwartz, Mrs. S. Picktin, Mrs. Friedman, Mrs. J. Sholat, Mrs. H. Rosen, Mrs. Putzher arid Mrs. Jacobs.
