Mr. and Mrs. D. Grossman and family, 97 Beatrice Street, were given a farewell dinner by Mr. and /Mrs. W. Benson, prior to their departure for California, and were also presented with a sterling silver fruit basket by the host and hostess. A few of those present were Mr. and Mrs. M. Gross-' man, Mr. and Mrs. H. Bruner, Miss F. Grossman, and Mr. M. Gershovity of Hamilton. Dancing and vocal solos by Mr. W. Bruner followed the dinner.
Miss Marian Cornfield, Grace Street, was hostess at a very enjoyable card party on Sunday evening, on the occasion of her brother's visit home from Detroit. Several vocal solos were rendered by Miss Eva Davis and Mr. Maxie Cornfield.
'A very enjoyable evening was spent on Saturday when Miss Rose Cohen, 35 Major Street, entertained in honor of her twelfth birthday. Covers were aid for twenty-five of her girl friends. On leaving for home, each guest was given a souvenir.
An enjoyable evening was spent last Sunday at the surprise party held in honor of Mrs. S. Greenberg, who was unanimously elected president of the Ezras Noshem Society for the fourth term, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cohen, 595 Dundas West.

At half past three o'clock last Tuesday afternoon, the home of Mrs. A. Levine, 670 Huron Street, was the scene of the marriage of her daughter, Faye, to Mr. William Gunn, son of Mr. John Gunn, of Winnipeg, the Rev. Rabbi Gordon and the Rev. Rabbi Berger, of Hamilton, officiating/1. The bride, who was given away by ftfr mother, wore flame georgette with black lace, picture hat and a bouquet of orchids and lilies of the valley. Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Rose attended the bride and groom. Mr. and Mrs. Gunn left later to spend their honeymoon in Boston and New York.
