Business Men's Class, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5.30 to 7 p.rn., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Tbe "Y" is trying to assist and develop the body and mind of the busy business man by teaching him to relax and play, something which he has forgotten since he left school. COURT ISRAELITE ENTERTAINMENT
A regular monthly meeting of Court Israelite No. 3329, I.O.F., was held on Purim night, at the Temple building, along with a grand entertainment. The main event of the evening was a minstrel show put on by the Phoenix Minstrels, before an audience of 350. The troupe were given a very cordial reception. The business manager, Mr. B. A. Sharfstein, recording secretary of the above-mentioned lodge, gave a speech on behalf of the Court and the Minstrels. The following were the performers, who took part in the show: Mr. S. Huntman, interlocutor; Mr. S. Chousky, director and end man; Mr. H. Freedman, end man; Mr. Edison, end man; Mr. Shaul, end man; Mr. H. Messenger, singer; Mr. G. Goldman, singer; Mr. Nathanson, step dancer; Mr. Jacobson, singer; Mr. Cassels, saxaphonist; Miss A. Lev in son, pianist. After the performance Bro. Harvey S. Lloyd, A.S.S.C.R., representing the Supreme Court, gave a speech. He also made a surprise presentation, awarding Bro. E. Fellman with a silver star on behalf of the Order, as a token of appreciation for his services within the past three years.
TEAS STEADILY ADVANCING
"TeasAdvances from primary markets continue to indicate a strong situation with upward tendencies. Locally there are no changes, but as stocks are not large there is a strong possibility for some advances as importers state spot prices are still far below cost of replacement."
The above statement in the "Canadian Grocer" of March 10th is authoritative. Those who understand the tea situation say that unless the prices become easier on the primary market very soon, the consumer may expect to pay 10 or 15 cents more a pound for tea.
JUDAH GIRLS' DEBATE
At the Judah Girls' weekly meeting, Monday night, the main feature of the evening was a debate. The subject was, "Is the woman of to-day culturally, morally, mentally, and physically superior to the woman of the past?" The negative side won this rather strong discussion, the contestants being Misses Jean Narofsky and Eva Kurtz.
