The Jewish fraternities at McGill have pledged their support for the Federation in the campaign which wilt be held the week of October 22.
Beatrice Silverman, who was recently awarded an exhibition prize of $150 for French, German and Latin, has a splendid record as a student at the Royal Victoria College and at the Montreal High School. She was the winner of the mathematical prize in the fifth form and graduated from the High School near the head of her class. At the end of her first year in arts she ranked second in her class. In addition to being a brUfant atodvfftt, Mias Sftverman is a fine musician. She was a pupil at the Dominion College of Musk.

The bridesmaids were: Miss Rita RabinovitRh, in a gown of pale blue taffeta; Miss Anna Klein, in a gown of mauve georgette over gold cloth, and Miss Claire Lustgarten, in a gown of pale blue ring velvet. The attendants carried bouquets of tea roses and wore bandeaux of silver leaves in their hair.
Dr. George Strean was the best man and the ushers were Dr, Felix Bernstein, Mr. Ben Lustgartejv and Dr. Judah Wener, Master Manuel Nathanson, cousin of the bride, in a Lord Fauntleroy suit of. white satin arid a tficorne hat, acted as, ring bearer. / ^ Little Misses Lillian and Beatrice Fainer, cousins of the bride, who wore petal dresses of white and maize georgette and carried old-fashioned nosegays, were the, flower girls. Mrs. Dinowitzer, the mother of the bride, wore a gown of gold brocade and black Spanish lace and a corsage bouquet of American Beauty roses. Mrs. Freedman, the mother of the groom,0 wore silver brocaded chiffon over silver cloth with a corsage of American Beauty roses. The gifts to the bride's attendants were sterling silver vanity mirrors and to the groomsmen pearl penknives. Dr. Freedman and his, bride left for Florida for some weeks. Upon their return they will reside in the Bertha Apts., 2453 'Park Avenue. The out-of-town guests at the wedding included Mrs. P. Lazarovitch and daughter, of Quebec; .Mrs. H. At the last meeting of the National Council of the Zionist Organization, held in Montreal, October 8, it was decided that the 19th Zionist Convention in Canada take place in Toronto, January 6, 192i. Dr. Chaim Weizman will come to Toronto to take part in this convert* tion and bring a personal message to the Canadian Zionists and Canadian Jewry at large, and thanks to Canadian Zionists and Canadian Jewry for their work towards the rehabilitation of the Jewish homeland. . ,- .
All the Zionist societies throughout the country and also individual pledgers of the Keren Hayesod must clovse their accounts with the Zionist Organization before the end of next November as on November 30 all the accounts will be closed ^nd the amounts coming in later than^ the date mentioned will not be published or reported at the convention.
In Montreal, the greatest part of the work was carried on by the various Hadassah Chapters. The Toronto Council has been for the last year fortunate to enlist the valuable assistance of Mr. and Mrs. Dunkelrnan, who accomplished inestimable work for the Keren Hayesod. To Mr. S. Rogul, chairman of the National Fund Committee, are due thanks for the success of the National Fund in Toronto.
In Winnipeg, Mr. N. Schiffer is constantly at work for the different Zionist funds! He is supervising and conducting the work of the Keren Hayesod, National Fund, and the selling of the shares of the Jewish Colonial Trust. The group under the. name of "Habonim" are always to his assistance in collecting the pledges. The Work of the National Fund in Canada was, a great success during the last month Tishfi, when a campaign for .the redemption of 1,000 duriam of land in Palestine was .proclaimed..
