On Thursday. March B, Chapter Pi of the Alpha Omega Fraternity held their third annual formal dance at the Prince George Hotel. The ball room was decorated with coloured streamers and balloons. Novel dances helped to make the affair a success. One novelty was the posting ot a parchment scroll, at the entrance to the ball room, upon which each member and his friends inscribed their names in India ink. This scroll is to be framed. Supper was served at four tables arranged in the form of a hollow square. Fach lady was presented wi:h a French ivory jewel case. Entertainment was provided by the Misses Eckler, who gave a soft-shoe dance and a toe dance; saxophone solo by Gordon Alien. Among those present were: Mrs. S. HADASSAH
The chapters that are holding Purim theatre parties next Monday evening at the Community Theatre Night are the Deborah Chapter, Daughters of Zion, Herzl Girls and Junior Hadassah. Standard Theatre Company will participate and an English Musical and Dancing Revue will be presented.
A luncheon meeting of the local members of the Dominion Hadassah executive was field at the Primrose ( lub last Monday. Mrs. Cohen was elected to membership) in the Council to the vacancy created by Mrs. Green-farb's departure for California. Meetings will be held monthly, primarily for consideration of Provincial Hadassah problems.
The following chapters met during the past week: Daughters of Zion, Deborah Chapter. Miriam Chapter, Herzl Girls, Rose Chapter, Junior Hadassah, Hadassah Mascots and Central Chapter.

The Herzl Girls met on Monday. March 17, at the Building. National Fund boxes for campaign were distributed. Mrs. F H. Siege!, honourary president of the Club, addressed the members.
YOUNG PEOPLE'S SOCIETY McCAUL STREET SYNAGOGUE
The Young People's Society met in the chambers of the Synagogue on Monday evening, March 17. Mr. F. C. Platus gave a brief outline of Jewish customs from early days. Miss Celena Herman gave a description of a young girl's experience in society when hampered by a chaperon. A short radio concert was conducted by Mr. F. Caplan. Refreshments and dancing.

The annual debate between McGill and the University of Toronto Menorah Societies takes place, this Saturday at 8 p.m. in Wrest Hajl, University College, University of Toronto, subject: "Resolved that a separate school system for Canadian Jews be established." University of Toronto on the affirmative will be represented by F. Brody and M, Pusitz; McGill on the negative by Messrs. B. Cohen and S. Kaufman. Tickets from K. Gelber, Trinity 2142; D.
