The graduation and closing exercises of the Shaar Hashomayim Religious
School were held on Sunday, June 15, at 3 p.m., with the programme conducted entirely by the members of the graduating class. DR. EZRA LOZLNSKI HAS NEW POSITION
Dr. Ezra Lozinski, formerly demonstrator in the Department of Pharmacology at J^cGill University, will be pharmacologist with Charles E. Frosst and Company, of Montreal.
SILVER WEDDING RECEPTION
Mr. and Mrs. Wolff Signer were at home on June 15 on their silver wadding anniversary. Over seventy-five guests were present at the reception. The house was decorated with flowers and a wedding bell by Misa Ray Shapiro. Assisting the hostess in serving were Misses Jean and Eva Signer, Bee Hart, Ray Mednik, Ella Blumbert, Anna Klein and Mrs. M. L. Spiro. The.out-of-town guttts included A. M. SPANISH AND PORTUGUESE SYNAGOGUE
At the closing exercises of the Sunday School of the Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue, the following pupils were awarded prizes: Memorial medal donated by Miss Reba Goltman in honour of her parents, won by Henry Aiberg; special medal for attendance at Synagogue won by Wm. Silverstone; medal donated by Moses Simand in memory of his parents, won by Norman Astrof; Medal donated by 1. S. The final social of the season of the "Mountaineers" took place at Bastien's Studio, Sherbrooke Street East on Sunday evening, June 1.
