The American Chess Association, which succeeds the Western Chess Association, will promote a movement to organize thoroughly the chess situation in the United States, uniting under its banner all the forces in the country interested in the historic game. Ussishkin with a shower of rotten eggs when he recently visited Kisineff in the interests of the National Fund. We wonder what childish pranks they would play if they really had in mind to gteet a friend. They would likely send him to dreamland with a bludgeon.
