The Hadassah Chapters of Montreal were represented at a meeting called by Mrs. A. I. Freiman, Dominion chairman of Hadassah, at the Mount Royal Hotel on Thursday night. A committee for the Keren Hayesod women's campaign was formed, and the following elected as chairmen of the various departments: Honorary president women's campaign for Montreal, Mrs. A. J. Freiman; honorary secretary women's campaign for Montreal, Miss Ida Seigler; chairman of women's campaign for Montreal, Mrs. E. G. Bernstein; vice chairman, Mrs. H. H. Livingstone; secretary, Mrs. H. Singer, assisted by the Misses Sue Gross and Sara S trass berg; treasurer, Mrs. Ascher Pierce, assisted by Mrs. B. Kahn; captain of captains, Mrs. B. Perelmutter, assisted by Mrs. L. Rabbi Zlotnik reported that 1,831 cards were tabulated: for the Hadassah and would be distributed to the various chapters,
Montreal Hadassah Chapters are to raise a special fund of $15,000 for the Keren Hayesod during the coming year. This is to be a special undertaking apart from the pledges taken up by chapters and by private members during the campaign, in line with the action of Toronto Hadassah which pledged itself to raise a special fund of $10,000 during the year. Hamilton Hadassah, $1,000; Ottawa Hadassah, $2,500, and other chapters yet to be heard from. Canadian Haaassah will provide a special fund of $50,000 for the Keren Hayesod by means of special entertainments.
KEREN HAYESOD CAMPAIGN, MONTREAL
The Keren Hayesod campaign in Montreal which commences on Monday, November 24, is in charge of A. Levin, R. A. Darwin and Rabbi J. L. Zlotnick, chairmen. On Thursday, November 20, all workers and canvassers will gather at a smoker at the Mount Royal Hotel. A J. Freiman, of Ottawa, president of the Canadian Zionist Federation, will preside. Groups of workers will be formed, and a captain named for each. Cards for canvass will be distributed.
For Saturday evening, Mrs. A. J. Freiman called a rally of women workers to be held in the Community Centre of the Shaar Hashomayira Synagogue.
Monday evening, November 24, a Zionist gathering will hear Dr. Schmarya Levin, member of the Zionist Actions' Committee, who has recently come from Palesxine. Maurice Samuel, active Zionist of New York, propagandist and author, will address the meeting. Dr. David Rebelskv will also speak.

JUNIOR HADASSAH
One thousand dollars was the sum pledged by the Junior Hadassah Chapter (as their share of the quota to be raised in the Keren Hayesod drive) at a meeting and tea held Sunday afternoon when Miss Jean Ross was hostess. Mrs. A. J. Freiman, president of the Canadian Hadassah movement and chairman of the local campaign committee, spoke, as did Benjamin Fox.
The guests were received by Miss Ross, while the money donations were in charge of Miss Thelma Dover. Centered with yellow baby 'mums, the tea table was presided over by Mrs. E. Bernett and Mrs. A. Borts. Assisting were Misses Sylvia Dover, Faye Zivian, Anne Freedman, Rose Max, Cecelia Sinclair, Mrs. Meyer Dover, and Miss Mary Ross. A box social and dance will be held under the auspices of the chapter December 4.
SENIOR HADASSAH TEA
Mrs. A. H. Coplan, Clemow Avenue, was hostess at the weekly Hadassah tea, Tuesday of last week. The guests were received by the hostess while the money donations were received by Mrs. A. Ash. An interesting paper dealing with current events on Hadassah work was read by Mrs. J. Kizell. A door prize was won by Mrs. Bay 1 in. Centered with yellow baby 'mums, the tea table was presided over by Mrs. J. Freedman, assisted by Mrs. C. Kert, Mrs. Geo. Wolf, Mrs, Jess Abelson, Mrs. J. J. Marks, Miss Ann Freedman, Miss Olive Pullan and Mrs. J. Edelstein.

Miss Sarah Kronick was hostess at a weekly tea held in aid of the Junior Hadassah Chapter. Piano solos were contributed by Miss Mollie Tuckman. At the tea hour the hostess was assisted by her mother, Mrs. S. Kronick, who presided at the table, and Miss Beck Hirshivitch, Lea Chertkoff and Mollie Tuckman.
