The Delta Beta held their inauguration meeting at the Y.M.H.A., Sunday, December 27. M. H. Weinstein, executive director of the "Y," spoke. Telegrams were received from B. Besner, of Toronto; M. Wexler, of Windsor; and L. Abrahamson, of New York, all members. Present were Jack Spitzer, Abel F. Feldman, Moe Scherzer, Louis A. Sendel, Saul M. CELEBRATION DINNER
The Deficit Fund Campaign Committee of Federation, headed by Sol Kellert, chairman, held its celebration dinner at the Montefiore Club, Tuesday night, December 22. One hundred and twenty-eight guests were present. Chas, L. Friedman, honourary treasurer of the committee, announced that the total amount pledged to this Fund was $62,535. More information in the next issue of the REVIEW.
'Y" NEWS
Rupert Caplan, director of the Y.M.H.A. plays each year, has made a trip to New York City to select a play for this year. Mr. Caplan is dramatic director of the Community Centre, which the Y.M.H.A. represents. Registration for this dramatic group is open.
Y.M.H.A. orchestra held a concert, Sunday evening, December 27, in the "Y" auditorium. The orchestra of forty-five players was led by Harold Morris, assisted by S. Cohen, baritone. Dancing.
The annual minstrel show of the "Y" will be a revue, under the direction of Harry Diamond. Tentative date, January 10, in the Y.M.H.A. auditorium, 697 St, Urbain Street.
Mrs. Livingstone. Miw Hyalie Freeman, Boris Karaseick, Miss Jeanette Enzer, Miss Dora Fineberg, Mrs. Lena Dickstein, Avrum Rubin, Harold Morris, Philip Meyerovitch, Miss A. Silver, Louis Jason and Mrs. William Liebe>-met at the "Y" to discuss lecturfta^n music and the organization of a music society. H. Morris and Miss Jeanette Enzer were elected temporary chairman and secretary. Next meeting in January.
The Young Women's Athletic Club supper dance, January 17. at the Venetian Gardens, Jos. Steinhouse and Jos. Hornstein are helping, Miss Sadie Beecher, president of the Y.L.A.C., is a member oV the entertainment committee, of tie Y.M.H.A.

HEBREW SCHOOL CELEBRATION
On Thursday evening, a banquet was arranged in the Bnai Jacob Synagogue by religious school, first, second and graduating classes. They sang national and religious songs, Rabbi Cohen and Rabbi Vachtfogel spoke on Hebrew schools. L. Coviensky, chairman of the executive of the United Talmud Torahs, welcomed the principal, I. B. Cohen, on his return from Palestine, Silver medals were presented to pupils of the graduating class, F. Garmaise, E. Schachter, R. Greenblatt, I. Greenblatt and B. Richter. I. Richler was awarded a gold medal, The principal spoke and was given a silver cigarette case.

The first orchestral concert of the year by the Y.M.H.A. orchestra, took place; Sunday, December 27, at 8.30 p.m.,_at the Y.M.H.A. auditorium, St. Urbain Street. The programme was arranged by Harold Morris. S. Cohen, baritone, sang. Informal dancing. The "Y" is organizing a music society, to lay the foundation for a music conservatory in connection with the Community Centre.
