Temple Scouts and Cub� held a joint meeting Sunday afternoon, January 17. In a $ame of attack and defence, the Cubt, led by Be^t Freedmao, acting cubmaster, were defenders, and the Scouts, lindef their Scoutmaster, R, Giniberg. attacked. Thirty boys sat down to a spread supplied by the parents, and later gathered ab^out an indoor camp-fire for songs, R. Ginsberg told two stories. The troop did not meet January 21, but attended the lecture for Scouts given on Canadian birds by Harrison F. Lewis> a bird expert of the Federal Government for the district of Ontario and Quebec, in the auditorium of the Montreal Technical School on Sherbrooke Street, Wednesday evening. About eight hundred scouts were present. The investiture of several boys into the troop and into the Brotherhood of Scouts took place in the assembly hall, Thursday evening.

The last meeting of the Bnai Jacob Young People's Society., took place Wednesday evening, January 27, in the Assembly Hall of the synagogue. Rabbi I. L. Zlotnik, director of the Jewish National Fund, spoke. Reports were given on the Purim dance,

The Keren Hayesod meeting of the Central Chapter took place at Zionist headquarters, Monday, January 25. Mrs. R. Goldman presided. Mrs. S. Kahn distributed about 100 additional Keren Hayesod cards. Mrs. A. J, Frie-man, of Ottawa, asked for contributions, Over $1,000 was pledged, of which $400 was cash. A friend donated $200 in the ' name of the Chapter. S. J. Rodman spoke. Miss Epstien, of Ottawa, played the piano. Mrs. R. Goldman donated the raffle and Mrs. Lapides won it.
Rachel Chapter met at the home of Mrs. S. Ness, 670 Durocher Avenue, Monday, January 18. The convener of theatre *.ckets, Mrs. B. Kauffman, reported on the theatre benefit of January 1.1 at the Monument National. The chapter donated $100 for Keren Hayesod, and $25 for the Tubercular Hospital in Palestine. Last meeting was at the home of Mrs. R. Ness, 2464 Jeanne Mance, Monday, January 25.
The Young Ladies' Zionist Chapter met at the home of Mrs. L. R. Crelinsten, 1335 Bernard Avenue West, January 18. Tickets were distributed for a bridge and man jongg to be held at the Windsor Hotel, February 17. A musi-cale has been arranged for the tea hour. Keren Hayesod contributions were turned in by Mrs. H. Singer. Last meeting was a bridge, Monday, January 2o. Hostesses were Mesdames A. Drach, B. I. Fainer, H. Friefeld, H. Shiller and J. B. Becker.
Sybil Cohen Chapter met January 4 at Zionist Headquarters at a bridge. The hostesses were Mrs. J Boidnidn and Miss A. Boidman. Among the prize-winners were Misses Evelyn tried-man, Meta Moscovitch, Eva bind man, Ida Lipsy, Jennie Bernstien, Annie Elias and Mrs. A. Robinson. Thirty volunteers responded for Keren Hayeaod work Tea.
The chapter met January 18 at headquarters, Mrs. M. H. Cohen in tne chair. JJonations were taken lor the clance. Keren Hayesod cards were distributed. Hostesses were Mrs. A. Bem-stien and Misses J. and B. Bernstien. Meeting January 25 at Z.onist Head-quarters. Tabie reaervatrons lor the cabaret ^nd dance with Esther Bind-man, West. 5664J.
Queen Esther Chapter met, Monday, January 25, at Zionist' headquarters, Mrs, L. Miller presiding. Two prizes were displayed to be awarded the two leading workers in the Keren Hayesod Campaign. Complete returns have not yet been made by the captains,
