Office and Factory Buildings
Within the last decade and a half, several large office and factory buildings were put up in different parts of the city. The Vineberg Building, on St. Lawrence Boulevard and Duluth, which has eight stories, was built in 1912, by Harris Vineberg. In 1910 J. and S. Kellert put up the seven-storey Kellert Building, on St. Catherine Street, corner St. Urbain, with Hutchison and Wood as architects. The Jacobs building, of eight stories, at 282 St. Catherine Street West, was built by J. A. Jacobs, with Charles A, Mitchell as architect, in 1910, at an expenditure of three and a half million dollars. A. Sommer built another ten-storey edifice on Mayor Street in 1912, with Hutchison and W7ood, and J. M. Miller, as architects.
The first section of the Rabino-vitch Building, 149 St. Catherine Street East, built by George Rabinovitch, was completed in August, 1911, with G. A. Monette as architect. The second se ction, finished in 1922, with Hutchison -and W7ood as architects, completes the imposing seven-storey office and manufacturing building.
George Rabinovitch has since built a six-storey building, occupying a block on St. Catherine Street, facing both Amherst ^nd

S. and M- Rabinovit; ;i erected the Main Building, on St, Lawrence Boulevard and Ontario Street, with C. Dufort as architect. The building, which was ready in May, 1915, oo^ S450,COO and is equipped for stores, offices and manufacturing flat-. It has a basement and five stories, although the,foundation was built for ten stories.
C. Davis Goodman, Bleury Street, was architect for a rebuilding completed for Singer Bros., of the Atlas Paper Bex factory, on Marie Anne Street, last March, with Joe Gilletz, contractor in charge. Joe completed the Kenmore Apartments in Outremont, and is at present engaged on two large apartment blocks on Lajoie Avenue.
The American Tailor Buildirg (Sol S. Vineberg, Jr., proprietor) was completed in August, 1924, at the corner of Mansfield and Btirnside Avenues, with Ross Macdonald as architects and James Shearerasricontractor. The
