Y.W.H.A. WELCOME CAMP
Welcome Camp of the Young Women's
Hebrew Association opened July 2. Apply at the " Y," 782 St. Urbain Street. The camp takes Jewish girls of twelve years and over and remains open until August 27, under the supervision of Mrs D. H. Bernstein, "Yh organizer. Councillors: Misses Felice Vineberg, Annette Vineberg, Rachel Levitt and Jean Astroff. A trained nurse is at the camp.
STE. SOPHIE SCHOOL
Ste Sophie School closing took place Thursday, June 24. Charles Yarofsky, president, Miss Lena Figler, class teacher and H. Kahansky, presided. Miss Figler distributed reports. The following graduated with honours: Misses Lily Gray, Dorothy Kahansky, Nellie Goenberg and Rose Yarofsky. Max Kalpan, Miss Bertha Freedman, Harry Freedman and Abie Segal are other graduates.
Tel-Aviv Chapter met May 17. Nominations for the coming year are: Honourary president, Maxirie Bernstein; president, Irene Reider; secretary, Helen Cohen; vice-president, Lil Jaikin; treasurer, Jean Small; and telephone committee, Misses Fanny Frank and Jennie Rot�enweig.
Eta Cohen Chapter met Tuesday, June 15, at Headquarters. Mrs. S. Titleman presided. Mrs. A. Costin, Keren Hayesod chairman, reported $300.00 collected in the Chapter's treasury, with $275 collected from individual members, leaving a balance of $425 outstanding on the $1,000 pledge. Thirty tickets were sold for the dance, May 26, realizing $36. Mrs. H. Thompson donated a boudoir doll lamp which will be given next season to the member who sells the most raffle books, Mrs. B. Polonsky is convener. Mrs. S. Titleman appealed for contributions for the Hadassah shower, Twelve dollars was collected among Mesdames E. Lazare, I. Rabinovitch, H, Titleman, S. Gasoy, P. Cohen, H. Dorfman, Miss M. Cohen, Mesdames S. Titleman and A. Cohen. Mrs. S. Kahn spoke, Mrs. H. Thompson suggested that each member bring a piece of fancy work to the opening meeting

Queen Esther Chapter held its closing meeting at headquarters, Tuesday evening, June 15. The president, Mrs, L.
Miller, presided. Mrs. J. Schulman played "Hatikvah." Mrs. H. Tarshis read the secretary's report for the year, A National Fund report, read by Mrs. Maurice Garfinkle, showed that 1,455 boxes had been placed and $1,029.64 cleared. The treasurer, Mrs, W. Nadler, informed the members that $6,166 had passed through the treasury and had been expended on various funds. Mrs. Rosenbaum stated that 126 articles had been cut and made up from materials donated by members and friends. Tokens were presented to
