The first social affair of the Jewish unior Welfare League, held at the /indsor Hotel, Saturday, December 8, as a bal-cabaret, was attended by nearly five hundred guests. Proceeds are in aid of the Jewish Laurentian Fresh Air Camp. The blue room was decorated with southern smilax, and potted ferns were placed in the window embrasures. Trie guests, who were received by Mrs. A. B. Illievitz^ Mrs. David H. Ballon, Mrs. Louis Feigin, Mrs. Bernard Hyams, Mrs. M. A. Marshall, and the Misses Violet Ettenberg, Lena Ashka-loney aiW Ray Friedman, were seated at tables placed in cabaret fashion around the room. The cabaret performance, given during the supper hour, was contributed by Miss Dorothy Fisher, assisted by Ethel Cooperstone, Jennie Levine, Eva Guilaron, Sadie Smith, Marie Ashkaloney, Dora Selinsky and Myra Chorlton, in a dance and song skit arranged by Miss Lena Ashkaloney, called "Camp Fire Blues"; Elyse Som-mer, in "Jazzmania"; May Lightstone, "Carmen''; Edythe Ziff, "Ballerina Reel" and " Marie-Marie'r; Miss Becci Cohen and Charles Golfman, "An American Tango"; Jay Wolfe, "Songs," and Mrs. Michael Stein, of Toronto, solo. E. M. Berliner and W. Levine announced the numbers. Among those who attended were Dr. and Mrs. A. B. Illievitz, the latter in silver metallic cloth shot with blue; Mrs. David Levi, grey georgette, beaded; Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Marshall, the latter in white georgette, bouffante style; Mrs. Joseph Levinson, black georgette with beaded design; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ettenberg, black georgette trimmed with rhine-stones and bugles; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Wolff, black georgette with touches of gold; Miss Reba Goltman, Chantilly lace and ninon, with girdle of gold roses; Mrs. A. M. Vineberg, metallic lace trimmed with sequin; Miss Evelyn Vineberg, pink taffeta, bouffante; Mr. and Mrs. Leon H. Fiachel, orchid georgette trimmed with crystal beads and brocaded velvet; Mr. and Mrs. H. Kaufman, vwhite georgette, beaded and trimmed with orchid flowers; Mr. and Mrs. M.
