Ballon presided at the first story hour for members of Junior Clubs, Thursday, February 24, at the "Y." Members and friends are invited to the lecture by Dr. Harold Segal on "History and Evolution of Clothes," which was postponed from February 21 to Monday, February 28, at 8 p.m. Circulation of books will not commence until librarians have completed necessary listing, etc., of new volumes. Aurora Girls Club held a social and musicak Sunday, February 20, at the "Y" club rooms, 782 St. Urbain Street. The rooms were decorated in the club's colours, blue and gold. Inter-Club Council of the Y.M.HA, which oeaaad to function in the spring of 1926, has been revived and is in charge of the entire social programme and some educational activities. Two representatives of each club constitute the council: Herzl Girls, Libby Selinger, Mary Tafler; Culso Girls, Neil Markman, Anne Phillips; Menorah Girls, Anne Kurat, Eva Mendelson; Knights of Blue White, Conrad Roaengarten, N. Horovitch; Blue Bird L. S. A., Henry Segal, I. Boochik; Top Notch, Norman Scnlenger, Max Kraanow; Mono macs, Louis Jason, Joe Rubin; Ski, Harry Taeon, Louis Nlckeraon; Glee Club, Harry Jason, Myer SUberberg. The members of the represented clubs are receiving invitations from the Council to attend an inter-club social. Members of the men's clubs will invite ladies; and of the girls' clubs, men, preferably from among the club members. Council will be reception committee. Meeting of the Arts and Crafts Club took place Monday evening at the Y. Miss Bessie Klein in the programme, basketry, china-painting, etc. Girls who own ukuleles may join the Ukulele Club if they are members of the Y. The third floor is available for club socials. Bridge parties, dances, sings and novelty parties are among Miss Klein's plans for the new clubs. The Athletic Council ia arranging a boxing tournament for Tuesday evening, March 15. Sam Kerman, chairman of the Boxing Club, and Morris Booth, chairman of the Werstling Club, are in charge. The Y. Purim social takes places in the auditorium, Sunday evening, March 20. Young Men's Social and Athletic Club, Reg'd, entertained the children oi the Montreal Hebrew Orphans' Home Sunday, February 20. The choir of the Home, composed of thirty children who sing in four parts, sang "Dear Old Home," written and composed by Mrs. S. J. Rossen. The Club programme, in charge of R. Resin, chairman, N. R. Rabins and M. H. Brotman, was given by: Cyril S. Lawrence, overture BeJloff and Rubin, ukulele and songs comedy skit, Brotman and Rosenthal, Miss A. Katzoff, recitations; Jewish songs, Irving H. AzarofI; uke singing, Harry Bloomfield; Rosenthal and Brotman, "Mechanical Scar crow." Orchestra directed by Jack Leibovitch. Refreshments were served by the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Home, Mrs. A. B. Illievitz, assisted by members of the Jewish Junior Welfare League, Misses Ruby Friedman, Mary Lankofsky and Elsie Danziger.
