Dr. Stanley M. Fink, right, ton of Mr. aad Mrt. M. A. Fink, 763 Bloomfield Avenue, Montreal, graduated from the university of British Columbia, Faculty ef Medicine, having received the Bachelor of Science degree at McGill University In 1959. In hit third year of Medical School he won the Florence Helghway Scholarship. At McGIII, be was a sports reporter for the McGill Dally; took part ta inter-faculty sports. He is now interning et the Montreal General Hospital.

Max Swerdlow, 416 Ancaster Street, Ottawa, Ont., right, it the registrar of the newly-opened Labour College of Canada, the first Labour College in Horth America. Sponsored by McGill University, the University of Montreal, the Canadian Labour Congress, end the Confederation of Hatioael Trade Unions, the College holds its classes at McGill University. Mr. Swerdlow is also on the board of governors, and the executive committee of the College. Bora ia Odette, ia the Russian Ukraine, he is e former resident of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Montreal. He joined the United Hat, Cap, and Millinery Workers' In-tematioaal Union in 1934; edited the Local Union's first bulletin; conducted an educational program; aad teverel years later became recording secretary of the Union, la 1942 he wat appointed a full-time organiser for the Tradet and Labour Congress of Canada; and later Quebec District Representative. He served at worker's delegate to the International Labour Organizatioa in 1953. Later ho became director of organizatioa aad education for the Trades and Labour Coagrest. Mr. Swerdlow was appointed director of education when the Trades and Labour Congrats and the Canadian Congress of labour merged ia 1956. He travelled la Far Eastern ead Asian countries as a representative of the Interaatioaal Labour Office. He was chairman of the executive committee of the Canadian Conference of Education; member of the Government's Vocational Training Advisory Committee; Chairman of tha Sub-Committee oa Haaslag of the Netioaal Labour -Cooperative Committee; chairman of the Trade Union Film Committee; secretary of the National University-Labour Education Committee; and a Governor of Frontier Co)lege. He it married ta the former Miss Aaae Harrison. They have three children: Robert Swerdlow, 19 Stayaor Aveaae, Montreal; Lorelei, and Martin Swerdlow; and one grandchild, Christina, age' faar years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Swerdlow.
