RABBI SCHWARTZ IN MINNEAPOLIS
in August. Rabbi Schwartz was in Minneapolis during the Shavuoth holidays, conducting joint services of the Adath Yeshurun and the Beth-El congregations. He is a graduate of the Jewish Theological Seminary, entering the seminary in 1921 and receiving his degree in June, 1925. During his senior year he was president of the student body. Upon his graduation he was called to occupy the pulpit in Toronto, which he resigned.
Rabbi Schwartz was director of the adult educational activities of the Zionist Organization of America and was identified with the activities of Young Judaea.
He has been an instructor in the extension department of the Jewish Teachers' Institute of New York City. Rabbi Schwartz was born in New York City in 1892. He received the B.S. degree from the College of the City of New York in 1912, and a degree in law from the Columbia I-aw School in 1915. In 1918 he joined the United States armv.
