CHRISTIAN JEWS?
A group of so-called Christian-Jews held recently a conference in Montreal. They formulated new tactics by which they hops to win ^ Jewish^ouls for the Church. What a terrible lot these Chri$tian-Jews -are! We like to speak of them as "meshumodim." This Hbrew word expresses best what we think of them. It is strange that in this hour of human progress sincere Christians who - are devout * religionists, should permit themselves to be misled by apottate Jews. The Jewish-Christian is neither good Jew nor good Christian. The Jewish-Christian is in the "missionary business" for the sake of gain. There is no doubt about it! President Roosevelt once said: "I have no patience with those who would convert Jews or Cathdlics. -More likely than not where they succeed at all they succeed only in destroying something. They take something real away, arid give nothing in return, leaving the victim bankrupt." To Dr, Pelts who spoke at the Montreal Missionary Conference, we, say in the words of Jesus: "Woe unto you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites-: for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte: and when he is become so, ye make him twofold more a son of hell than yourselves." (Matthew 23: 15).
We often marvel at the time and labour and means expended by Christians on their futile efforts of trying to convert Jews to Christianity. It seems to us that Christians perhaps could accomplish what they expensively seek by easier meansby the power of example, by being Christians! How many Christians live the lives which -Jesus, the Jew, bade them live; doing good and hating evil; abstaining from doing wrong to any of their fellow-kind, no matter what race or creed, or colour; loving all men as they love themselves? We suggest that the missionaries Christianize the Christians.
We ask the leaders of "Churchianity," "From what to what would you convert the Jews?" From a home life where there is piety and regard for religious and parental authority, from a life which possesses sanctityregard for the marital tie; from a religious philosophy which teaches regard for the duties due to the poor, sick and needy (that is indeed superior to the lives of many Christians) TO WHAT?
Is it not absurd? We who gave monotheism, the Bible, the Prophets, Jesus, the Apostles, to the worldwe should need spiritual guidance from Christians!
We suggest that our readers present copies of ,JMy Return to Judaism," by S. Freuders, to Christians, who are deluded by so-called Christian-Jews. Freuder, in his book, reveals the truth about Christian missions to the Jews.

FEDERATION CAMPAIGN
The Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of Montreal has Mt aside the week of November 27th for its campaign. To Montreal Jews we say, "Give all you can! It is better to give than to receive!" Do not try to "escape" Federation. The Prophet Isaiah pointed out long ago the acceptable day to the Lord in the following words:
"Is it not to d^al thy bread to the hungry
And that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house?
When thou seest the naked that thou cover him,
And that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?"
