The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, I. Pomerance, wore a period gown of white taffeta and tulle with French flowers. Her veil of net and lace was arranged in cap effect with clusters of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of Ophelia roses. Ruben Cohen was best man. he bridesmaids were Misses Freda Pomerance, sister of the bride, in peach colour georgette and lace; Frances Katz, period dress of white georgette; Freda Katz, yellow taffeta and lace; Edith Chercover, sister of the groom, pink taffeta dress; and Josephine Rosenberg, green taffeta and silver cloth. They all carried pink roses. Groomsmen were Tack Rubin, Moe Krasove, Joe Mann, Mkkey Pomerance and Arthur Schle-singer. Evelyn Krasove, the flower girl^wofe a frock of green georgette and carried.a basket of rose petals. Morris Schwartz, ring bearer, wore a Lord Fauntelroy suit. Mrs. L. Pomerance, mother of the bride, wore a black satin dress trimmed with grey velvet with a corsage of red roses; Mrs. H. Chercover, mother of the groom, a black sequin gown with a corsage of red roses. A dinner of 150 covers was served. The out-of-town guests were Miss Josephine Rosenberg and Mickey Pomerance, of Cleveland, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. H, Chercover, Mrs. Ben Rosenblatt, of Winnipeg,' Misses Lottie Newhouse and Edith Chercover, of Edmonton, Alberta. Mr. and Mrs. Max Chercover left on a short trip to Niagara Falls. Going away, the bride wore a navy blue satin dress, a muskrat coat trimmed with fox and a black felt hat. The groom's gift to the maid-of-honour was a filigree bracelet; to the bestman, a large pocket flask; to bridesmaids, crystal earrings to match their gowns; and to the groomsmen, silver pocket flasks.

The marriage of Elsie, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. J. G. Laxer, to Harry Darabaner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cte Darabaner, was solemnized Tuesday, January 31, at Bnai Jacob Synagogue. Rabbi Y. Rosenberg officiated, assisted by Rabbis S. Herachorn, M. Simon, and J. G. Laxer. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a period gown of white satin with skirt of Chan-tilry lace, and a Queen Elizabeth Chantilly lace collar. Her veil of silk net, edged with this lace, was arranged with a cap of it, with knots of orange blossoms on either side. She carried a bouquet of rosea and Lilies-of-the-valley. Miss Dora Laxer, sister of the bride, the maid-of-honour, wore a period dress of porcelain blue bonnet taffeta, trimmed with French-blue velvet, the skirt made of petals. She carried a bouquet of Ophelia roses. Moses Darabaner, brother of the groom, was best man. Ushers were Bernard W. Wall, Max J. Laxer, Joseph S. Caplan, Israel J. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a white georgette gown in Spanish style, trimmed with beaded fringe and French flowers. Her veil of net was in crown effect, arranged with orange blossoms on either side. Her bouauet was of roses and lilies. Miss Ethel Spector, the maid-of-honour, in mauve chiffon velvet and silver lace gown, with hat to match, carried tea roses. Ben Baboushkin was best man. The bridesmaids were: Misses Gussie Altman, in bouffante dress of pink satin bodice and tulle skirt; Anna Friedman, bouffante dress of shell pink velvet bodice and tulle skirt trimmed with French flowers; Minnie Cohen, maize georgette; Shirley Barnett, silver and red-beaded dress, and Beatrice Miller, nile frreen satin and tulle skirt.
