Max, son of Moses Nemtin, of Montreal, was solemnized Sunday evening, February 12, in the Spanish ballroom of the Queen's Hotel, which was decorated with palms, ferns and smilax, having a carpeted aisle, sectioned off with posts decorated with smilax, from the centre of the room. Ferns and palms were grouped around the altar where Rev. Dr. H. Abramowitz officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a straight-line model gown of ivory satin, having tiered skirt and fagoting in a diagonal note on the bodice and down the length of the tight-fitting sleeves, A fan-shaped court train of satin fell from the shoulders and was finished with bands of crepe and satin with insertions of fagoting. Her tulle veil was in bonnet effect, coming to points over the ears, and caught at the back with circlet of orange blossoms, She also wore white satin shoes with rhinestone buckles, kid gloves, and carried a sheaf of Calla lilies. The train-bearers were Rhoda Vineberg, sister of the bride, wearing flesh georgette smocked in baby blue, and Sydney Herscovitch, nephew of the groom, who wore a Lord Fauntelroy suit of blue velvet with vest of white satin. The maid of honour, Miss Pauline Vineberg, sister of the bride, was in Monaca blue satin in straight-line effect, draped at the side and caught with a large bow of blue satin lined in shell pink georgette and with a cluster of French flowers at the shoulder. She also wore a small blue satin turban and blue satin shoes and carried Ophelia roses and blue hyacinths. The bridesmaids were Misses Minnie Nemtin, sister of the groom, who wore flesh colour georgette, with insertions of lace; Molly Pomerlian, flesh georgette in boufTant style with large blue velvet bow at the side; and Laurie Wiener, in flesh taffeta, shot with shades of rose, in boufTant style, with French flowers at the shoulders and on the skirt. They also wore large picture hats of flesh georgette and flesh satin shoes and carried sheafs of Columbia roses. Ben Nemtin, brother of the groom, was best man. The ushers were Alex and Teddy Vineberg, brothers of the bride, and Dave Stern and Max Katkin, Mrs. S. Vineberg, mother of the bride, wore a draped gown of king blue crepe romaine with insertions of blue sequins, tight-fitting black straw hat with taffeta, and a corsage of Premier roses. The wedding march was played by Bram Rose, violinist; Bram Sands, 'cellist; and Bluma Sands, pianist. After the ceremony a sit-down supper for 250 guests was served in the main dining room and dancing followed in the ballroom. Mr. and Mrs. Max Nemtin will spend their honeymoon in the Laur-entians and on their return will live on Davaar Avenue, Outremont.

The marriage of Elsie, daughter of ' Mr. and Mrs. A. Josephson, to Samuel Herman, was solemnized Tuesday, . February 14, at Bnai Jacob Synagogue. Rabbi Katz officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a period dress of white crepe romaine with bodice studded in rhinestones and skirt of ruffles. Her veil of silk � net was edged with lace and arranged ; in cap effect with cluster of orange blossoms on either side and she carried camelias and lilies-of-the-valley. The two flower girls, Gertrude Jasper, in pink crepe romaine, and Ruth Josephson, in orchid crepe romaine ruffled frocks, carried baskets of rose petals.
