Mallek-Becker
The marriage of Misa Lena Becker ( daughter of L. Becker, to Harry S � Maliek, son of M. Mallek, was solemnized Sunday, March 25, at the Lewis Reception Rooms, Dr. H. Abramowitz officiating. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a bouffant dress of white crepe romaine, with skirt of net trimmed with hand-painting. Her veil of net waa held in place with a wreath of orange blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet of Ophelia roses and lilies-of-the-valley. Joe Becker, brother of the bride, was best man. Mrs. J. Becker, jister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honour, in a rose colour georgette and lace dress, with a corsage of orchids and sweet peas. A dinner of ninety covers was served.
Goodman-Shevell
The marriage of Miss Ruth Shevell, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. T. M. Shevell, of New York, to Simon Goodman, son of Mrs. Sarah Goodman and the late I. S. Goodman, was solemnized Thursday, March 29, at Shaar Hasho-mayim Synagogue, Rev. Dr. H. Abramowitz officiating. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of white Chantilly lace trimmed with net and silver. Her veil of silk net was arranged with a cap of lace and held in place with a cluster of orange blossoms on one side. She carried a white satin prayer book with shower of lilies-of-the-valley. Miss Bessie Goodman, sister of the groom, the maid of honour, wore a mauve transparent velvet gown trimmed with silver, a mauve mohair hat, and carried a bouquet of Ophelia roses and mauve sweet peas. Jack Rothman was best man. The two junior bridesmaids, Dorothy Garber and Florence Shachter, were dressed alike in mauve taffeta dresses in period style, trimmed with silk net. They wore bonnets, too, and carried muffs of mauve taffeta and tulle. The two flower girls, Ruth Shevell, niece of the bride, and Edith Rosenberg, were dressed alike in mauve tulle frocks, with hats to match and carried baskets of pink roses. The ushers were Harry Benjamin, Abe Gross, Dave Fineberg, Louis Goodman and Al Shevell. Mrs. I. M. Shevell, mother of the bride, wore a blond georgette beaded gown,
