Meeting
A preliminary campaign organization meeting was held at Federation Building, 179 Beverley Street, Monday, October 1, with Harry Rotenberg in the chair. Present were Arthur Cohen, David Levinne, Charles Draimin, J. I. Oelbaum, Louis Gelber, Ralph Raphael, Joseph M. Gordon, Henry S. Rosenberg, Rabbi F. M. Isserman, Harry Rotenberg, Jess Kaplan, Rabbi Samuel Sachs, Saul Kaufman, Lewis Samuel, Samuel Kronick, H. M. Smith.
It was reported that Sigmund Samuel
would be honorary chairman; Harry Rotenberg, chairman; N. L. Nathahson, vice-chairman; Jess Kaplan, Chairman of publicity; H. s. Rosenberg, chairman of speakers' bureau. The campaign will be held October 22 to 25 and the objective is $135,000. "Give while you live," is the slogan.
Federation acknowledges receipt of an increase of subscription from Meyer Brenner for 1928 from $250 to $500, and also receipt of a donation of $10 from the Orillia Jewish congregation.

Opening meeting of the Junior Council of Jewish Women was held at a tea Sunday afternoon, September 30, at the King Edward Hotel, honouring Miss Fanny' (Bobby) Rosenfeld. The president, Miss Cecille Berenson, spoke and presented Miss Rosenfeld with a jewelled perfume tray and powder jar. Those present were Mesdames Charles Draimin, Percy Hermant, Jule Allen, Maurice Rosenfeld, A. Gibb, Meyer Brenner, A. Rosenthal, Ralph Jacobs and A. Schwartz, Ruth Weiss. At the close of the tea Miss Alexandrine Gibb spoke, followed by Mrs. Charles Draimin, who, on behalf of the Toronto Jewish Business Men, presented Miss Rosenfeld with a Durant coupe. Mrs. A. Simonsky and Mrs. Charles Draimin poured the tea.

NOTICE is hereby given that IDA ROSENBERG, of 476 Euclid Avenue, of the City of Toronto in the County of York, in the Province of Ontario, married woman, will apply to the Parliament of Canada at the present or next session thereof for a Bill of Divorce from her husband, Louis Rosenberg, of the City of Toronto, in the Province of Ontario, on the ground of adultery and desertion.

As a mark of esteem for her prowess in women's athletics, Miss Fanny Rosenfeld, probably the most versatile woman athlete in Canada, was presented with a Durant sport coupe Sunday, by the Junior Council of Jewish W7omen. A committee, sponsored by Charles Draimin and Ely Marks, and consisting of Jack Creed, T. D. Pearlstein, Laurie Simonsky, Mort Levy, R. J. Sapera and Shier Mendelson, raised the funds among the Jewish citizens, and gave Mrs. Charles Draimin the honour of presenting the car through the Junior Council. The presentation was made at a tea held Sunday afternoon in the Blue Room at the King ' Edward Hotel,
which was attended by over a hundred friends of the famous Canadian all-round girl athlete, who, in three events at the Olympic games, namely, the relay, 100 metres and 800 metres established her name among the outstanding woman athletes in the world. Miss Rosenfeld is shown with her new car, which has been given a 10,000 mile service contract. The committee which made the presentation a reality is also providing Miss Rosenfeld with "gas" for a lengthy time. �
