RECEIVE MEDALS AND CERTIFICATES
At the graduation exercises of the classes of 1928 of the West Hill High School, held Friday, October 6, commissioners' bronze medals were given to Nathan Keyfitz, ninth year; Fanny Azeman, eighth year; and Abraham Carlinsky, eighth year. Certificates to graduates were distributed to: Harry M. Adelstein (science); Henry N. Boulkin (classical); Jason J. Cohen (classical); Rose Cohen (classical); Isadore Goldner (science); Beatrice M. Kaplan (classical); Evelyn F. Kravitz (classical); Sylvia J. Leibovitz (classical); S. Arthur Litwin (classical); Bram Roston (classical) and to Aida M. W. Sach (classical). Commissioners' scholarships were won by these under-gTaduates: tenth year, Rutn yVilanski; ninth year, William Abrams, Henry Cohen and Nathan Keyfitz; eighth year, Fanny Azeman, Sarah Lazare, Pearl Ungerleider, Lillian Wagner, Sybil Wilansk'i and Sollie Wiseman; and eighth year (January), Abraham Carlinsky.
POPULAR LECTURES
Prof. F. Schneersohn, psychologist, lecturer and Jewish author, lectured at Annex Hall, October 7, on "The Way to Man." He spoke on "The Depths of the Human Soul," October 9 ana October 10. Prof. Schneersohn is the author of several well-known works on psychology in German, Yiddish and Hebrew, such as "The Way to Man," "Catastrophes and Their Effect on the Development of Children," "The Intimate Life of the Child," and others. He has also written several literary works, descriptive of the life of the Chassidim. The lectures were held under the auspices of the Hitachduth Zeire Zion.
SEWING SCHOOL RE-OPENS
Jewish Endeavour Sewing School reopened classes at Baron de Hirsch Institute, Monday, October 8. Girls ten years or over registered. This year marks the twenty-firth year of activity of the Jewish Enceavour Sewing School, where little girls are taught sewing and dressmaking.
