The marriage of Miss Cecily Silverberg. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Silverberg, 310 Betty Ann Drive; to Nissim Bahar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Bahar, of Bombay, India, was bolemnized on March 24, at eight o'clock, by Rabbi David Monson. The bride was given in marriage by her parent*. She wore a fitted, white, Chantilly lace, gown set over peau de soie, with its jacket: with scalloped neckline; and bell-shaped skirt Her fingertip, tulle illusion veil was caught with a rose petal, lace, pill-box hat, trimmed with pearl beads. She carried a cascade bouquet of white orchids, and stephanotis. Miss Elaine Bahar. sister of the groom, was maid of honour, wearing a gown of pink, silk taffeta, combined with net for the bodice; and styled with a high neckline; Empire sleeves; and sheath skirt adorned with hand-painted flowers. Miss Fern Solomon, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid, gowned in mauve silk, fashioned with a fitted bodice; scooped neckline; and A-line skirt. Each had a matching headpiece. Their flowers were wristlets of white orchids. Mr. and Mrs. Nissim Bahar spent their honeymoon in Niagara Falls, Ont, and New York, where they sailed on the Queen Mary for London, England. The bride travelled in a brown, and yellow suit, hand-knitted by her mother; with a yellow hat; and brown accessories. Her flowers were a corsage of yellow roses. Mr. and Mrs. Bahar will take up permanent residence in London. Mr. Bahar received a grant in English Literature, and will teach at Trent Park College. Egmont L. Frankel, 236 Douglas Drive, died at his home on Friday, May 8, at the age of seventy-two years. He is survived by Mb wife, Mrs. Ruth Frankel; two sons: John Frankel, and Alan Frankel; a daughter, Mrs. Oscar Kofman (Joyce), 233 Douglas Drive; four
Jrandchildren: Barbara, Betsy, ames, and Jeffrey Kofman; two brothers: Carl Frankel, 661 Avenue Road. Rabbi W. Gunther Plaut, Rabbi Abraham L. Fein-berg, and Rabbi Ferdinand Isser-man, of St. Louis, Missouri, former Rabbi of Holy Blossom Temple, officiated at funeral services there. Burial was at Holy Blossom Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Frankel was president of Frankel Industries Limited; and a director of the Mercantile Bank. He attended Model School and Upper Canada College before entering the University of Toronto. Mr. Frankel, graduated there in 1911, in chemical engineering. In 1925 he married the former Miss Ruth Hart-man, of Chicago. III. He and his wife worked on community projects for year8. Mr. Frankel was one of the founders of the Oakdale Golf Club. He was the only Canadian ever to become president of the American Society of Secondary Materials, a trade association; was a past president of Toronto General Hospital Building Fund: a past vice-president of the United Jewish Appeal; and a past president of the Canadian Jewish Congress.
Jack Goodman, 7 Flanders Road, died on April 24, at the New Mount Sinai Hospital, at the age of sixty-eight years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anne Goodman; two sons: Carl Goodman, 47 Arlstan Drive; Julius Goodman, 65 Prue Avenue: a daughter, Mrs. J. She was the widow of Samuel Green, and is survived by two sons: Percy Green, of Toronto; and Jack Green, of St. Catharines, Ont.; a daughter, Mrs. Henry Gord (Gordie), 24 Lynn Haven Road; nine grandchildren: Melvin, Beverley, Francine, and Larry, children of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Green; Lynn, and Michael, children of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Green; and Leslie, Kenneth, and Charna Gord; two brothers: Joseph Barclay, of Detroit, Mich.; and Harry Barclay, 11 Wenderley Road; and a sister, Mrs^Morris Abramovitz, 4900 Bathurst Street. Interment was at Bathurst Lawn Cemetery. Shiva was at 24 Lynn Haven Road, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gord.
David Wasserman, 25 Gloucester Grove, died suddenly at the New Mount Sinai Hospital, on May 11, at the age of fifty-two years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Wasserman; two daughters: Mrs. A. Silver (Eleanor), 52 Meadow-brook Avenue; and Andrea, at home; a son, Martin; a granddaughter, Carolyn Silver; a sister, Mrs. Herbert Shubit* (Eleanor), of New York; and a brother, Morris Wasserman, 401 Castlefield Avenue. Rabbi David Monson officiated at funeral services. Interment was at Beth Sholem section of Mount Sinai Memorial Park. Shiva was at the home.
Abraham Soloman, 133 Times Road, died at the Baycrest Hospital, on May 10, at the age of sixty-nine years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Molly Soloman; a son, Samuel Soloman, 10 Shallmar Boulevard; two daughters: Mrs. H. Lipton (Sylvia), 44 King High Avenue; and Mrs. J. Pearl (Frances), 28 Tavistock Road; five grandchildren: Lawrie, Gary, and Karen Lipton; Linda, and Kenneth Pearl; a sister, Mrs. Samuel Go-renkoff (Sophie), 60 McAllister Road. Rabbi Albert Pappenheim officiated at the funeral services, assisted by Cantor D. Greengar-ten. Interment was at Bathurst Lawn Cemetery. Shiva waa observed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. Lipton, 44 King High Avenue.
