Marriages
Shefler-Harris
The marriage of Ann Bunny, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Harris, to George W. Shefler, son of Mrs. Dave Shefler and the late Mr. Shefler, was solemnized Thursday, March 12, at 6 p.m. at Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue. Rabbi Charles Bender officiated. The bride, given away by her father, wore an Empire gown of white satin trimmed with seed pearls, the skirt forming a long train. Her net veil was arranged with a nun's cap and she carried a bouquet of orchids and lily of the valley. The maid of honor Miss Eva Harris, sister of the bride, was gowned in pale green satin with a picture hat and shoes to match. She carried Talisman roses. Maurice Shefler, brother of the groom, was best man. The bridesmaids were Misses Laura Wise, wearing blue flowered chiffon; Estelle Rosenberg, blue moire; Rosa-lee Gpttheil, dahlia colored chiffon; Nell Solomon, mauve net trimmed with pale green; Beck Firestone, royal blue chiffon; Florence Hor-Hck, maize flowered chiffon. They all wore natural colored straw hats with plumes to match their gowns, matching shoes and long white gloves. Mrs. Harris, mother of the bride, wore a black lace and chiffon gown, a panamalac hat with a veil and a corsage of American Beauties. Mrs. Shefler, mother of the groom, was in black lace and chiffon with matching hat and shoes. Mrs. H. C. Shefler wore peach colored chiffon, hat and shoes to match and a corsage of orchids. Dinner was served to 100 followed by a reception for 150 at the Mount Royal Hotel. The bride and bridegroom left for Xew York, the bride travelling in a brown and fawn tweed suit with hat, shoes, gloves and bag to match. They will live on Sherbrooke Street West.

The marriage of Ksther. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. D. Artel man, to Jack, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Rubin, took place Sunday. March 15. at the Prince of Wa'es Salon of the Windsor Hotel, Rabbi H. Abramowitz officiated. The bride, who was given in marriage r-y' her father, wore a gown of ivory satin. Her veil of net and Chantflly lace was draped in cap fashion and caught with orange blossoms. She carried an ivory prayer book to which were attached silver streamers, of roses and lily of the valley. Miss Gertrude Adelman, sister of the bride, was maid of honor
wearing a green printed chiffon dresi with green baku hat to match and a colonial bouquet of roses and sweet peas. The best man was David Rubin, brother of the groont. The bride's mother wore a black chiffon and lace gown with a shoulder corsage of rose*? and sweet peas and black hat to match. The groom's mother wore a sown of black lace, shoulder corsage of roses and sweet peas and a blacl; hat. Dinner was served to 150 guests.
