"All of the agencies have expressed a real desire to develop a more unified program to deal with the important problems of protecting Jewish rights," said Sidney Hollander, of Baltimore, Council president. "Differences of opinion prevail on the methods to be followed in achieving a basis for such action. One of the difficulties Involved in bringing about united action is concerned with the nature of the proposed central agency and the extent and character of participation available to each of the four major civic-protective services. Previous experience.' both inside and outside of the General Jewish Council, has indicated underlying differences in objectives among the various agencies. Tbe committee is attempting to find a basis upon which active and satisfactory cooperation can be established between the various groups.'*

All but Rabbi Baumann will return to the United States after the holiday period. Rabbi Banrnann will remain in Alaska indefinitely to expand Jewish Welfare Board activities in Alaskan camp territories.
In cooperation with the Jewish Welfare Board's local committees and with James L. McBrtde, the semor chaplain of the rlassan command, Rabbi Baumann will provide for the Passover worship-pent at Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Fort Richardson and SIka. Special holiday supplies for the men in Alaska have bean shipped directly, from the Pacific Coast by the San Francisco regional headquarters of the Board.
