MARRIAGES
The marriage of Rose, daughter of N. Brown and the late Mra.* Brown, to Martin Roth, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Roth, Grace Street, took place on May 24th, at the borne of Rabbi David Monson, Rosemary Road, who officiated. The bride wore sky blue crepe, with matching hat and shoulder-length veil, and carried a cascade bouquet of white roses. Sidney Roth, brother of the groom, acted as best man. Mrs. M. Brown, of Kirkhwd Lake, sister-in-law of the bride, received in a green print dress, and corsage of roses, with Mrs. F. Goldfarb, sister of the bride, in- a navy blue dress, and corsage of red.roses; the groom's mother wearing a navy print dress, and corsage of roses. The couple left on a wedding trip to Niagara Falls, Crystal Beach, and Buffalo, and will live in Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Brown and son, Harold, of Kirkland Lake, were guests.

The marriage of Jean, daughter of Mr. and Mra. P. Silver, Grange Avenue, to Milton, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Her gown of white chiffon^ -was trimmed with CbantUly lace, and the finger-tip veil of tulle Mlusion fell from a crown of the same lace as her gown. She carried a white prayer book covered with an orchid and streamers of baby's breath. Mrs. Harry Silver, sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor, in a white taffeta gown trimmed with black and white daisies, and a tiara of white rosettes In her hair, and carried a bouquet of red roses, sweetpeas and baby's breath, Robert Golan t acted as best man. Luncheon, was �erved to two hundred and fifty guests. McKim's New Directory Of Canadian Publications Is Out
Chinese dailies are �till the most numerous in Canada's foreign language group, there being two In Toronto and two in British Columbia, while suspension of the two Japanese dailies leaves only one publication, a weekly, in this tongue.
The group totals 66, in 16 different languages. Canada now has a total of lySll publications, of which 107 are dailies and 953 weeklies. This is five fewer dailies and 31 fewer weeklies than last year, (he overall increase of three being accounted for by 20 additional monthlies and 23 additional miscellaneous publications. The above figures, are from the 35th edition of McKim's Directory of Canadian Publications, just off the press, comprising 483 pages and Including exhaustive data on markets throughout the Dominion.
