Mrs. Samuel Schacter, St. Catherine Street West, spent a few days with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Smith, in Sherbrooke.
Mrs. R. Nathanson, Victoria Avenue, learned by cable that her son, W. O. 1 Nathan Edward Nath-anson, is safe in England after spending one and one-half years in a prisoner-of-war camp in Germany. He has been overseas for /five years, and while be was a prisoner-of-war, Mrs. Nathanson received a letter from R.C.A.F. headquarters advising her that during that period, he had been promoted three times from sergeant to bis present rank.
Mrs. H. Robinson, Westmount Avenue, has returned from New York and Atlantic City.

Mrs. Morrie E. Teff, Prince Albert Avenue, received in honor of the bar-mi tzvah of her son, Michael, brother of Misses Nina and Sheila Tefff and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Young. His father, Fit Lt Teff, R.A.F., is in London, England. Mrs. Teff wore a navy crepe'dress, with a corsage of pinjc roses; and Mrs. Young wore a light blue printed dress, with a corsage of roses.' The table was decorated with roses and stocks, and tea was poured by : MesdameS Robert Herman, of Rochester, N.Y., Isadore Mendel, Harold Ne-.vman, David Ciwal, of New York, a sister of Mrs. Teff; George W.
