� LODZ RELIEF Association: At a special meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Gross, 5568 Woodbury Avenue, Mrs. A. Ragin-sky, Sr., president of Canadian Hadassah, guest speaker, told what she had learned of the sad plight of the community of Lodz, from Dr. Emil Sommerstein at the recent World Zionist Conference, in London, England. A. Kalfusa reported that a sum of money had been sent to Lodzer Jews at present in Sweden, as well as a direct cable to the Jewish Community Office (Kehillah) in Lode, to which a reply is expected. He said that the society had received some letters from families in need of relief but it is still not possible to send them direct aid. J. Shlamo-vitz reported on the work of the Ladies Auxiliary- M. Rubinstein moved the vote of thanks to the guest speaker; and a vote of thanks was expressed to the hosts. H.
