The marriage of Goldye, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.- Harry Cohen, 777 Bloomfield Avenue, to Jack Fenster, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Fenster, 6358 Brodeur Avenue, took place at Shaare Zion Synagogue, on October 7, at half-past five o'clock, Rabbi J. Berger officiating, assisted by Cantor S. Miller. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a long white satin gown, fashioned with a yoke of seed pearls on net, sleeves cut to a point and finished in net; tight-fitting bodice, and a full skirt finishing in a yard-long train. Her fingertip veil of tulle illusion was draped to a tiara of lilies-of-the-valley and seed pearls, and she carried white roses. Mrs. Sol. Turner, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, in a street-length dress of lime-green and green, trimmed with lime-gold sequins; a headdress of green and lime-green colored ostrich plumes witn green veiling; and a purple orchid corsage. Misses Sandra Turner, niece of the bride, and Lois Rout-t en berg, cousin of the bride, were junior bridesmaids, in street-length dresses of white figured sheer over pink satin slips, trimmed with pink satin ribbons, ana pink ribbon in their hair, carrying colonial nosegays. Lawrence Fenster was best man for his brother. The hall was decorated with standards of gladioli, white pompoms, chrysanthemums, and tall candlebra. The aisle was lined with white ribbon and bows. The wedding march was played on the piano and Barney Cohen sang "0. Promise Me" and "Because". Candid photographs were taken throughout the wedding by Drum-mond Photos, and photographs of the bride and rroom were taken by V. Garcia, at the bride's home. TOMATO BORSCHT
Boil together one large tin of tomatoes and an equal quantity of water with two large potatoes, diced in small pieces; one large mashed potato, salt and pepper to taste; and onion and cabbage which have been stewed in three tablespoons butter for ten minutes. Add one and one-half tablespoons fine barley, one teaspoon sugar, and cook until barley and diced potatoes are tender. Immediately when tender, add two tablespoons noodles or fine spaghetti, and more seasoning if desired.

chocolate one cup cold water one-quarter pound butter two cups brown sugar
two eggs
two cups and one tablespoon
pastry flour one teaspoon vanilla one-half cup sour cream
one heaping teaspoon baking soda Chip the chocolate squares, and melt in the water. Cream butter and sugar, and beat in the eggs. Combine this with the , melted chocolate mixture. Add the sifted flour, and vanilla. Then add sour cream, in which the baking soda has been mixed. Mix well, and bake in a 325 degree oven for forty minutes.
