On his way back, he was accompanied by his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Arkin (formerly Miss Goldie Merling, of Montreal), of Allen town, Pa., who were visiting here, and will visit relatives in Newport, Vt; and Allentown, Pa^ before returning to sea.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Segal and daughter, Mrs. M. Horowitz, entertained at a dinner party in honor of the engagement of their daughter, Ann, to Isadore Abramovitz (Ab. rameau), son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Abramovitz, of St Lin, 1'Assomp-tion, at their home, 3697 Jeanne Mance Street. The table was centred with roses and a heart-shaped cake with an inscription reading, "Lots of luck to Ann and Issie".
