The marriage of Miss Lillian Markowitz, daughter of Mrs. M. Kacevman, 281 Major Street, to Jack Ginsberg, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. Ginsberg, took place at the home of the bride's mother, on Sunday, June 16, at three o'clock, Rabbi David Monson. officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. S. Wiener. She wore a grey crepe cap-sleeved dress with a draped skirt, and blue gloves and hat, and carried a Bible adorned with white gardenias and streamers. Miss Cecille Markowitz, sister of the bride, and maid of honour, wore a navy-blue two-piece dress, and carried a nosegay of red and white roses. Joseph Ginsberg acted as best man. The groom was given away by his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Jlrs. Irving Ginsberg. Mrs. H. Abraham, aunt of the bride, played the wedding music. The bride's mother received in a black dress, with a large checked bow at the left side, and bouquet of white and red roses. For their wedding ttrip to Muskoka Lodge, the bride wore a black dress, with red checked taffeta trimming, and red shoes. The couple will reside at 281 Major Street. Out-of-town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. H. Abraham, Miss Fay Latner, and Abraham Latner, of Hamilton.

The marriage of Rita, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. Winer, 20 Palmerston Gardens, to Jules Goldenberg, son of Mrs. S. Goldenberg, 21 Kensington Avenue, and the late Mr. Goldenberg, took place on Sunday, June 23, at six o'clock, at Chudleigh House, Rabbi A. Kelman officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a white satin long-sleeved lace-frilled gown with a high round neckline, lace yoke, and princess skirt with a flve-foot-long train. Her headdress was a lace Victorian crown with a white bridal veil, and she carried a white ivory Bible encrusted with white ribbons, pink roses and lilies-of-the-valley on white streamers. Miss Gilda Gladstone, maid of honour, wore a pale blue moire strapless gown, with pearl embroidery, and matching bonnet with a blue veil, and gloves. She carried a large nosegay of pink roses. twined beaded leaves, and she carried a miniature cascade of hybrid and butterfly orchids. Mrs. George Levin was her only attendant, wearing petal rose, with a brown tulle hat, trimmed with rose-colored ostrich curls. Her miniature cascade bouquet was of pink roses and shaded pink and cerise sweet peas with forget-me-nots. Stanley Ostrow, of Pittsburgh, Pa., brother of the groom, was best man, and the ushers were: George Levin, of Toronto, Ont; and J. Leonard Ostrow, cousin of the groom, of Erie, Pa. Eric Schaeffer played the organ, and Henry Auger sang. The room was decorated with gladioli and baby's breath, and garlands of entwined flowers marked the aisles.

At Shaarei Shomayim Synagogue, the bride's mother received in a blue crepe dinner gown, trimmed with seed pearl beads, elbow-length gloves, pink flowered hat, and corsage of pink roses; the groom's mother, wearing a shocking-pink crepe dinner gown, gold-colored elbow-length gloves, and flowered hat, and corsage of Talisman roses. For their wedding trip to the Chalet, in Ste, Agathe, Que, the bride wore a shepherd's plaid dressmaker suit, black blouse, and red accessories.
