Mrs. Phoebe Lewis, widow of Morris Lewis, died suddenly on Saturday, November 15. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. J. Bach, of Atlantic City, NJ.; Misses Leola, Sara, Esther, and Freda Lewis, all of Montreal; two sons, Coleman and Hersehel; and five grandchildren. Funeral took place trom Paperman's, Rabbi S. Frank, Reverent A. de S. Pimontel, and Rabbi Charles Bender officiating. Burial was in Spanish and Portuguese cemetery. Shiva was st the home, 2211 St. Catherine Street West.

Kiva Bassior died suddenly in his sixty-second year at his home, 391 St. Joseph Boulevard West, on Saturday. November 15^_He_is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rebecca Deitchman Bassior; one son, Louis; four daughters, Mrs. W. Kalman-asch (Rose); Mrs. P. Goldner (Fanny); Mrs. H. H. Silver (Sarah); and Miss Ann (Cootsie) Bassior; and six grandchildren. Funeral took place from Paper-man's, Dr. C. N. Denburg, Rabbi, officiating. Burial was in King Edward cemetery in Back River. Samuel Hart, 3980 Cote des Neiges Road, died on Thursday, November 20, at his home, in his seventy-fourth year. He is survived by his wife, the former Leonora Heyman; one daughter, Mrs. Leon Fischel (Ruth); two sisters, Mrs. Morris Ryan, of Ivry; Mrs. Isidore Seigler; one brother, Hillel Hart; one granddaughter, Mrs. Herbert Myers, formerly Miss Janice Fischel; and two great-grandchildren, Edythe and Harold Myers. Mr. Hart was born and educated in Montreal. He was a life governor of the Montreal General Hospital; and a member of the board of governors of the Jewish General, Children's Memorial Hospital, and Verdun Protestant Hospitals. He was a vice-president of Shear Hasho-mayim Synagogue congregation, and was one of those who were instrumental in building the synagogue at Cote St. Antoine Road.
Toraha; a past president of the Hebrew Orphans' Home; and a founder of the Elmridge Golf Club, and of the Montefiore Club. Funeral was held from his home on Sunday, November 23, Rabbi Wilfred Shuchat officiating. Burial was in Shear Hashomayim cemetery.
Harry Bernard Stubina, aged thirty-seven, died on Monday, November 17. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Stubina; four sisters, Mrs. J. Kirsch (Ethel), of Moncton, N. B.; Mrs. Abe Leibovitz tLily), of Gales-berg, 111.; Mrs. B. Lobe (Freda), Mrs. Ida Pollack; and three brothers, Wilfred, Jack, and Moe. Funeral took place from Paper-man's, Dr. C. N. Denburg, Rabbi, officiating. Burial was in Monti-fiore cemetery ' in Cartierville. Shiva was at the home, 5148 De Gaspe Street.
Mrs. Lily Leopold April, widow of the late Michael April, died on November 18, at her home, 1205 Crescent Street. She is survived by two sons, Joseph; Lionel, of Saint John, N. B.; one grandchild, Marilyn Isobel April; one sister, Mrs. Joseph Gordon; and two brothers, Samuel and Felix Leopold. Funeral took place from Paperman's, Rabbi Samuel Cass officiating. Burial was in Shaare Zion cemetery. Shiva was at the home.
