Abraham Kohos died in his seventy-fourth year, on November 8, at the Private Patients' Pavilion of the Montreal General Hospital, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ernestine Aber Kohps; one daughter, Mrs. Jack K. Field; one granddaughter, Angela Susan Field. Funeral took place from Paperman's, Rabbi Wilfred Shuchat officiating. Burial was in King Edward Association cemetery. Shiva was at the home, 4596 Kingston Avenue. Mr. Kohos came to Montreal in 1900 and eight years later founded the ironworks

from which he retired in 1942. He w;is honorary president of the King Kdward Sick Benefit Association of Montreal; a life member of the Corinthian Lodge No. 4>2; and of Mount Horeb Chapter No. 6. In lyiG, he was Noble Grand of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Excelsior Lodge No. 12. He waa a member of the Huilders' Exchange and a Justice of the Peace. He belonged for many years to Shaar Hushomayim Synagogue, and was a prominent member of the Masonic Order.
Mrs. Mania Kravctsky Dubrof-sky died at the Jewish General Hospital, un November G. She is survived by her husband, J. Du-brofsky; one daughter, Mrs. I. Albeit (Esther); two grandchildren, Mona and Ann Shirley Albert; five sisters, Mrs. N. Kashtan (Nettie), of New York; Mrs. S. Schwartz (Rose); Mrs. M. Bordan (Hetty); Mrs. P. Sleekier (Annie); and Mrs. Esther Schwartz. Funeral took place from Paperman's. Shiva was at the home of her daughti-r, Mrs. I. Albert, 5356 Cool-hruuk Avenue.
Louis Silverman, aged scventy-five, widower of the late Mrs. Bessie Silvcnmin, died on November 5, at his home, 85 Pagnuelo Avenue. He is survived by three daughters, Miss Minnie Silverman; Dr. Gertrude Silverman, of New York; Mrs. I. Levme (Lily), of Saint John, N.H.; two sons, Archie and Eddie; two sisters, Mrs. J. Goldman (Rachel); Mrs. M. Burman (Sue); and one brother, Harry. Funeral took place from Paper-man's, Ur. C. N. Denburg, Rabbi, officiating. Shiva was at the home. Mr. Silverman was originally of Quebec City.
Abraham Novick, aged sixty-four, died on November 11, at the Jewish General Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sadie August Novick; three sons, Paul, of New York; Herbert D. and Nathan; one daughter, Mrs. A. Kaufman (Dorothy); and five grandchildren, Morton Novick, of New York; Marvyn, Kenneth and Andrew Novick, and Martin Kaufman. Funeral took place from Paperman's, Rabbi S. H. Herschorn and Reverend L. .Syrek officiating. Burial was in North End Vijko-mirer cemetery. Shiva was at the home, 5021 Jeanne Mance Street.
