Gerald, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Shciner, 319 Willowdalu Avenue, was called to the Reading 'of the Law, at Young Israel Synagogue. He is the brother of Leonard; and the grandson of I. Shein-er, Isabella Aventfc. Kiddush followed, with one hundred and fifty people present. The reception-dinner took place in the, synagogue hall, on the followmg evening, with two hundred guests present.

Harry Goldenblatt, aged fifty-two years, died at the Royal Victoria Hospital, on January 3, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jennie Adelson Goldenblatt; three sons, Lester, Mortimer, Irwin; three grandchildren, Fraidy and Howard; Murray; one sister, Miss Anne Goldenblatt; and one brother, Aaron. Funeral took place from Paperman's, Rabbi Charles Bender officiating. Burial was in King Edward Sick Benefit Association. Shiva was at the home, 4823 Clark Street.
Louis Marinoff, Cjfxrfmos, Que., aged fifty-eight years, died suddenly in Rouyn, on January 3. He is survived by his wiife, Mis. Ann Marinoff, of Amos; two daughters, Mrs. S. Abracen (Ann); Mrs. H. Hockenstein (Rose); one son, Julius, all of Montreal; and five grandchildren. Funeral took place from Paperman's, Dr. C. N. Den-burg, Rabbi, officiating. Burial was in Bessarabia cemetery. Shiva was at the home of a daughter, Mrs. S. Abracen, 1345 Lajcrie Avenue.
Mrs. Syma Bazin Spitzer died in her eighty-sixth year at her home, 6048 Durocher Avenue, on January 3. She is survived by four sons, Charles, Harry, Jack, Max; and two grandchildren, Irving and Beatrice' Spitur. Funeral took place from PapennAnX Rabbi J.
