� ZIONIST Organization headquarters in Montreal is preparing for the thirtieth national convention, January 21-23, at the Mount Royal Hotel. The-question of a program for the organization will be discussed by Leon D. Crestohl, K.C., of Montreal; E. E. Gelber, of Toronto; S. J. Drache, of Winnipeg; presided over by S. E. Schwisberg, K.C., of Montreal, on Saturday afternoon, at headquarters, where Jacques Torczyner, of New York, vice-chairman, Administrative Committee, Z.O.A., will speak. Judge Louis E. Levinthal, a director of the Palestine Economic Corporation, will discuss "Investments In Israel"; and Moshe Erwin Witken, economic counselor of the Israel Embassy in Washington, the financial situation in Israel; during the convention. A report on "The Jewish Agency And Your Money" will be delivered by GottUftb Hammer, of New York, executagairector of the American sectionor the Jewish Agency; on The Jewish National Fund In Israel, by Elias M. Epstein, overseas director of the Fund. A mass meeting to conclude the convention, on Monday night, January 23, will hear the new president-elect. Leon Levin, Montreal,United Israel Appeal chairman for 1950, will be introduced by Hyman Grover, national chairman of the Appeal. Dr. Emanuel Neumann, of New York, a former president of the Zionist Organization of America; Aubrey S. Eban, permanent Israel delegate to the United Nations, will be convention speakers. Hannah Sandier Chapter of Jewish National Fund will meet on Tuesday, January 17, at 8.30 p.m., at the home of Mrs. S. Sandier, 4552 Colonial Avenue. Mrs. N. Fettner, president, is in charge of the money shower, miniature bazaar, and card party, on January 24, at 8:30 p.m., at th^vZionist Building.
� Nathan Wolfe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wolfe, 5435 Grovehill I'luce, and a student at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, was awarded a Training Bursarship at Nuffield College, Oxford England, dating from October 1, 1950. Mr. Wolfe was born in Montreal, and is twenty-two years old. He attended lona Avenue School; and West Hill High School, where he was secretary of the Foreign Affairs Club, and his class biographer. At McGill University, which he entered in 1944, he was secretary of the Political Science Club, and publicity manager and study group chairman of the C. C. F. Club. He received his B. A. degree there in 1948, with honors in economics and philosophy, and his M.A. degree there in 1949. Mr. Wolfe is at Glasgow as a Glasgow Exchange Fellow, having left for Scotland in the fall of 1949, to do research work in economics at the University. The Nuffield College Training Bursarship is for one year, renewable for a second year, with a stipend of $1,000 per college year; and will enable him to conduct research in business cycle theory, towards his Ph. D. degree.

Plotkin, honorary president, presented a chest of silver flatware, service for eight, to the bride, and spoke of her "noble and untiring work and service in the organization", as financial secretary for four years, and vice-president for four years. The honoree cut the ceremonial loaf; Mesdames H. Antecol, N. Plotkin, D. Boyer poured; Mrs. D. Abrams and Miss Claire Monk assisting in serving. Letters were read from the Peretz School, thanking for a donation of $100; and from the Rabbinical College Maor Hagolah, for $50. Mr. and Mrs. H. Antecol donated the raffle which was won by M. Melnik, who eave a donation; and they pave a souvenir calendar to each person. At a general meeting at the Chevra Shass Synagogue, Mrs. J. Hoffer was hostess; and $57.80' was realized. At a Chanukah meeting at the synagogue, hostesses were: Mesdames M. Andes, D. Boyer, R. Cohen, M. Ehrlich, L. Gptlieb, J. Hoffer, M. Mabo, M. Pinchuk, I. Rosenberg, B. Rose-man, M. Schwartz, A.
