� ZIONIST Organization thirtieth convention, at the Mount Royal Hotel, will discuss at a round-table assembly on Saturday afternoon "A Program For The Zionist Organization Of Canada", chairmanship of S. E. Schwisberg, K. C., those taking part being Edward E. Gelber, of Toronto; S. J. Drache, of Winnipeg; Leon D. Crestohl, K. C., of Montreal. During the convention, the Government of Israel will be represented by the Consul-General to Canada, Avraham Harman, and by the Consul, Arie Ben Tovim. A special session on investments in Israel will hear Moshe E. Witken, economic counselor to the Israel Embassy in Washington. The political phase of Canadian-Israeli relations will be taken up at the convention dinner when Aubrey S. Eban, Israel's permanent delegate to the United Nations, will be the chief speaker, with Justice I. C. Rand, of the Supreme Court of Canada, who served on the United Nations Special Commission on Palestine, as the guest of honour. Samuel Bronfman, national president of the Canadian Jewish Congress, will be one of the speakers, emphasizing the contribution made by Canadian Jewry towards the creation of Israel. Reports of Rabbi Jesse Schwartz, national executive director; Hyman Grover, national treasurer; Harry Batshaw, K.C., chairman of the national public relations committee, will be given. Col. David A. � Dr. Louis Horlick, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Philip Horlick, 3839 Arcade Street, won a one-year research fellowship awarded by the American Heart Association. He was one of three post-graduate students at McGill University to receive an award. He is a graduate in medicine, and Holmes Gold Medallist, of McGill, class of 1949, and studied at Michael Reese Hospital, in Chicago, 111., in 1947 to 1948. through the award of a Dazian Fellowship for research in diseases of the heart and blood vessels. He is assistant resident at Royal Victoria Hospital, and research worker in arteriosclerosis at McGill. He will carrv out ""his present fellowship in that research, and hypertension, at the Royal Victoria Hospital.

university in Israel. The festivities will extend throughout the entire week beginning April 3. The University will not be back in its permanent home on Mount Scopus, in time for the event, twenty buildings being temporarily occupied by the institution in the new city of Jerusalem, with 1300 students enrolled this year. During hostilities, students and faculty contributed scientific "know-how" to problems of sanitation and the water shortage, to the development of new foods and medicines, and to the industrial and morale needs of the nation. They were largely responsible for holding Jerusalem. More than ten per cent of the student body was killed; many more, maimed. A School of Medicine was opened last May to produce the first Israel trained doctors. The School of Law, begun in November 1949, will provide barristers for the rapidly developing statutes comprising modern Jewish law. A School of Diplomacy will be created in the department of social sciences. University graduates already staff every department of the Government For coordinating the education of the hundreds of thousands of immigrants, youngsters and adults, teachers are beinc? developed. The faculty of liberal ?rts is accepting undergraduate .tudents for the first time.
