one pound cottage cheese one cup milk
three eggs three tablespoons flour
one-quarter cup sugar pinch of salt
three tablespoons corn meal *
Mix above ingredients in order listed. Melt one tablespoon butter in a pyrex baking dish; pour mixture over hot butter and spread evenly. Bake in a moderate oven of 350 degrees for about half an hour, or until it is a golden brown in colour. Serve hot with sour cream.

PRIZE RUM SPONGE CAKE
eight tablespoons white granulated sugar
eight tablespoons sifted
bread crumbs eight eggs
Beat whites of eggs until stiff. Beat yolks of eggs, combined with sugar, until thick; mix together, then fold in bread crumbs. Place in greased angel cake tin, and put in 375 to 400 degree oven for thirty minutes.
Meanwhile make syrup: one cup white granulated two cups water
sugar one-half teaspoon vanilla
three slices lemon rind
Mix all ingredients together and allow to boil for ten minutes. Let cool then add about three tablespoons rum. When cake is removed from the oven, pour, syrup on immediately until cake is soaked through. Allow to cool and when cake is ready to serve fill the centre and cover the top with a pint of cream, whipped.
